Shepherd handles the romantic banter quite well. ... But so far, Shepherd isn't particularly adept at the other comic demands of her role: the double takes, the slowly dawning reactions, the ironic deliveries and other tricks of the trade.
Well written, well produced and well acted. [2 Jan 1995]

Dec 20, 2010"Cybill" is one of the funniest shows of the 90es! The acting is somewhat strange, actually, very slapstick and somewhat unnatural, but after an episode one gets used to it and it's the funniest thing. Cybill Sheperd is great as the leading actress, but her sidekick Christine Baranski is just a show-stealer. She is the precursor to Karen Walker in 'Will & Grace', and she is simply amazing.
Very well written screenplay makes the show rather entertaining, with an overall excellent cast led by Baranski and Sheperd - making the show more than worth while!! 10/10!… Expand
