It doesn't add anything new to the vampire mythos, if I had to compare it to something I would call this True Blood, the anime. At it's core this is a love story and everything else is really there just to keep the narrative going. Editing is really peculiar at points as the series feels shorter than it is, almost like key scenes were cut out or shortened. It's rare that I'll say this, but this is a show that could have used a bit more exposition. Animation is decent, and the voice acting good.

Mina is such a strong and complex character it is really hard to really wrap your head around what she is.

    Overall:
This is an laright series that is worth watching, and I do hope they continue it at some point since it's major weakness is its lack of narrative depth.
