    Science channel publicity materials call the show "a real-life Twilight Zone," and in terms of mood, that's on the mark.

    Like a hybrid human, Dark Matters combines science with good, old-fashioned thrills to produce a whole new species. Great fun.

    Dark Matters has something for viewers who are easily titillated as well as those interested in history.

    It plays as cheap voyeuristic thrills, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but does keep the show percolating at a somewhat low level.

    This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. While the show is a bit uneven, when it hits the mark (like the use town in France driven mad by a CIA experiment) it can be quite illuminating. The problem is that all the stories don't quite reach this level. Full Review »
