La primera temporada fue increíble, la segunda fue un poco mejor que la primera según mi opinión, tiene más suspenso y revela más hechos de la historia, me sigue gustando mucho la primera, pero esta es increíble Expand

Should have ended at episode 25, really. Maybe the entire season 2 was just to squeeze a little more money out of the series. But, at the same time, maybe it was completely necessary to immortalize Death Note in our minds. I don't know. But I admit: Death Note AS IT IS will forever be ingrained in my mind. All I know is that the first 25 episodes are far better than the remainder. The remainder is still good to watch though through to the end. Expand

The series takes a small dip in the "slow and boring" territory, but then picks back up and and gives you some great final battles and a satisfying resolution. Expand

A partir da primeira temporada a série começou a decai com a morte do L e a entrada de personagens irritantes que estragou a trama completamente e sem contar o final que foi bastante ruim. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me start off by saying that the first 2/3 of Death Note were fantastic. Great characters (save for Misa), brilliant writing, and a good concept. Then, L was killed off. I didn't have a problem with this. In fact, I thought it was the right thing to do. If Light and L kept up the whole cat-and-mouse thing, it would've gotten stale. But then they introduced Mello and Near, the latter of which is one of my least favorite characters in all of anime. I liked Mello because he was different from Ryuzaki, which was a change of pace I liked. But Near is just a mere imitation of L, a cardboard cutout, almost. Except Near is less, funny, likable, well-developed, and intelligent. The plot then becomes nonsensical. Near never does anything, all he does is guess and rip off other people's work. Even the ending is very disappointing. Death Note could've been one of my favorite animus, but unfortunately, it went into a downward spiral after L's death. Too many characters were introduced and the pacing was all over the place and inconsistent. Oh, Death Note, how you've fallen from grace. Expand
