  1. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Only anime I've ever watched regularly. Great array of characters, great humour, beautiful animation, compelling stories (particularly Saiyan/Frieza sagas), brutal violence, and moral messages that don't beat around the bush. Pacing is the only problem... kids may find the original episodes frustrating. But there are new shortened versions available. I remember going nuts as a kid when they would stare at each other for 20 minutes and then the episode would end after a single energy wave. But it did keep me in suspense I guess. My favourite moment from series one is when the bad guy Nappa gets a massive spinal injury from our protagonist, and is lying on the ground unable to feel his legs. Vegeta, Nappa's more powerful ally, decides he is not useful anymore and has shamed his ancestry by losing to weak humans... so he incinerates his lifelong friend with an energy wave. Awesome. Expand
  2. This is the Greatest Anime of all Time! The countless cartoons and animes that are inspired by Dragonball Z is not even near the epicness the Anime series contains.Everyone's already said it but if you havent seen it then what are you waiting for? Expand
  3. Even though im an anime hater, this is my favorite series of all times. So i guess it speaks for itself how good it is. 20 years later and still nothing falls even close, and all nowaday top animes are all rip-offs of this one (im talking about naruto, bleach, 1 piece etc). So it proves DBZ is the ultimate best anime of all time. Expand
  4. Dragonball Z is a masterpiece of television animation. It is one of the most epic animations to ever be seen on television, and there is a good reason to call this one of the greatest animes of all time. The characters are fantastic and the plot can be a little redundant at times, but ends as a satisfying story. If only anime were more like this today in the 2010s, we probably wouldn't need Naruto to try and act as an equally good show that tries to be on-par with DBZ. Simply put, Dragonball Z is my favourite anime TV show and it is a fantastic pleasure. Expand
