Farscape began back in 1999, with Astronaut John Crichton being shot into space and sent through a wormhole, where he exited to a far point in the universe and encountered a host of weird aliens with his crew of escaped prisoners over the shows run, dealing with a number of different issues and problems, eventually being cancelled in 2003, leaving the show on a cruel and heartshattering cliffhanger, and a hell lot of loose ends.

Luckily, the sci-fi channel managed to rectify their mistake, comissioning a mini series to wrap up the shows storylines and bring a true ending for the fans.

First things first, if you're not a fan of the show, then you will get lost, very easily. References are made, characters how off their powers and a number of previous characters show up, and you will need a prior knowledge of the show to truly understand all of this, as this is focused on finishing off the story of the show, and it doesn't make concessions for newbies.

The entire Peacekeeper Wars, from beginning to end, is just brilliant. The fights are kick ass, the puppets and make up are all top-notch (thanks to the Henson company), all actors act at their finest, especially Claudia Black during her birth scene. The characters death (won't spoil it here) is truly saddening, especially everyone else's reactions, and you truly feel for them. The ongoing plot with the wormhole tech being used as a weapon is brought to an end here in a tense scene where you wonder what will happen, and it all pays off to the fans of dear old Farscape.

If I could recommend one show for people to watch, it would probably be Farscape. The humour mixes well with the drama and the action, and yes, the first season may be rocky, but it's all worth it, especially the third season.

Here's to the great 'Scape, a truly brilliant program.
