  1. The level of cleverness of Flight of the Conchords is off the charts.

The second season of HBO's Flight of the Conchords offers another wave of quirky hilarity of the very highest caliber, from Bret pawning his guitar to pay the rent, then mimicking guitar-playing while humming his part onstage, to Jemaine looking to supplement the duo's income with a little freelance prostitution.
  3. That the two men are in their 30s makes their perseverance more poignant--to somewhat overstate the case--and that they have no money places them in a long and honorable line of comedians who cannot put two cents together to buy a glass of seltzer.

Although this series isn't for everybody, it's the kind of solid single HBO can use while waiting for a new batch of heavy hitters to arrive; it's a refreshing favorite within the YouTube quadrant that won't leave their elders muttering about the crap those damn kids watch.

They've taken what they had in season one and built on it. The songs are just as funny, but the episodes surrounding them have gotten better. Episode 5, "Unnatural Love" is one of the funniest half-hours of television I've seen. Expand

Better than the first season writing wise. Dry, and witty. While there are fewer immediately classic songs, the songs are generally as enjoyable as the first season. But since the songs were written around the show and not the other way around, the cohesiveness of the story line is much better. Rhys Darby is fantastic yet again, and the conchords' naive characters left me in stitches. Expand
  3. Songs aren't as good... or funny. Most episodes are good, but not everything was, and it was very disappointing after the previous season which was very good. Expand

Wow, i really can't understand how people who liked the first series can enjoy the second. I was and still a huge fan of the first, but the second...what can i say, it is so dissapointing. Flat scenarios, mediocre songs, and the only things that 0bret and jemain seem to do is to look stupid and mostly silent...shame. Expand
