The script, when it's going for laughs, is absolutely riotous. The scenes taking place in the frat-boy bullpen at Lisa's new hedge fund office—favorite on-going prank: during conversations with SEC compliance officers, they mute their end of the call, then drop trou and rub their junk on the phone—are pee-your-pants hilarious.
It always feels like Friends From College could be exerting a little more effort.

I am not an easy one to make laugh as I am a cynical schmuck who thinks a lot of things on TV are dumb but I LOL'd in this joint right here. Not since HAPPY ENDINGS have I truly appreciated and enjoyed spending a Saturday night watching an ensemble comedy on TV rather than going out. Perhaps it's so specifically targeted to xennials that only a narrow bandwidth of those who fall under this category get the humour and appreciate the musical references (btw I think they spent a ton on music licensing which makes it all the more fun). It's unfortunate that I only JUST discovered this a month before the series was canceled. In the words of Liz Lemon: *blerg*

SEASON 1
This show is absurdly funny. The first episode had a scene between Fred Savage and Keenan Michael-Key that was so funny and perfectly scripted and executed, I watched it several times. The group dynamics took a while to mesh, but by the second episode, I was rolling in laughter and love for this group of misguided, hilarious, flawed friends. Fred Savage is a subtle beast, his comedic timing perfected. Keegan Michael-Key is so acutely funny that I woke my sleeping baby from laughing. Watch this and you will be joyful that you did.

The show doesn't have much narrative momentum, which makes the eight episodes at times feel slightly disconnected.
A promising generational sitcom that might have had something to offer its target audience of middle-aged folks raised on Friends but squanders all of our interest with mirthless, misguided strategies for holding it. The only spectacle it offers is the shocking magic trick of turning a bright, dazzling cast into a bunch of dim bulbs.
[The actors are] saddled with unlikable characters, a distasteful infidelity plot and an erratic tone that never quite finds itself.
Along with the show’s inability to find a consistent comic tone or a memorable story line (it leans heavily on the usual choices: marital infidelity, light class envy, fertility issues), Friends From College makes embarrassingly poor use of a cast that deserves to be in a better show.
The only explosion in Friends from College is that the entire eight-episode series is a stink bomb. It's crude, predictable and stupid.
If you liked 1990's "Friends" then you'll love "Friends from College" (FFC). It's like "Friends" amped up, and "R" rated. There's alot of comically dysfunctional relationshiping going on. Alot of cross-boinking. Both season 1 and season 2 are really entertaining - there will be no season 3 though, but that's ok with me.

SEASON 1
It's a great show, but not so funny. Besides that, it's hard to not associate Cobie Smulders with Robin by How I Met Your Mother, even that's not happen at A Series of Unfortunate Events. I will be serious: i abandoned the show in the middle, not because of the plot, but it's because i though i could be spending my time seeing something that might not make difference in my life, and believe me, i started to watch again after watch Movie 49 (don't ask me why i watched it). However, i liked the last episodes, they are a kind of different and ALMOST fun, and that's because it worth watch the series.

SEASON 1
This is the kind of show you put on in the background and don't think too much about. It's a theme of the show that the characters are stuck acting like college kids rather than the adults they are, but in reality they act more like high-schoolers. Yeah, a lot of their actions don't really make sense and they are all pretty shallowly written characters, but if you're looking for some mindless drama there will be some of that.
Some of the skits are laugh out loud funny. The problem is though, this is a tv show, not snl meaning a lot of these scenes won't flow well or create weird character traits giving the show some continuity trouble.
Is this show good? No, but when I watched it I was in the mood for some mindless tv and that's exactly what I got. It's a fine binge watch show but not much else.

Its difficult to decipher why I often cringed watching Season 1 of "Friends from College". it could have been the desperate attempts to cheaply use the recognizable actors for what they're good at, " Let's make Keegan Michael Key speak in a silly voice here" or "let's have Kate McKinnon act as insane as possible here." It could have been that it hit too close to home, especially the post-marriage, pre-motherhood struggles of Cobie Smulder's Lisa. Regardless, the show was hard to watch, lacking a certain balance that is needed to make a successful dramady. Slapstick gags and emotionally-crippling irony don't mix. Given the cast, and the standout performance of Fred Savage as the adorably subtle and at- times naive Max, I wanted to like this show but was left disappointed.

ugh, this was one of the worst show i have ever saw, like really bad writting, and unlikeable characters, and also a such a bad humour so bad you laugh of how stupid the jokes are, i feel bad for all the people involved in this show, because i guess some careers just will die!
