Friends with Benefits is weird. It's a sex comedy about 20 somethings that seems like it was written by single 40 somethings. The content is dirty but the package is squeaky clean, and the result feels forced. The show does have some solid jokes and real talent Ryan Hansen from "Party Down" and Zach Cregger of "The Whitest Kidz U Know" do stand out. I can't help but feel that the comedy would hit harder if the dialogue tempo was notched up a bit with quicker edits and better sound track decisions. It actually reminded me of the first couple episodes of 30 rock, it's almost too genuine and takes parts of itself too seriously. If given enough time the show could have smoothed out the wrinkles but there's just no time I'm afraid, if FWB is returned for a second season I would be more than a little surprised. - @bittercomic…Full Review »
