Once you get back in the rhythm of this enthrallingly sprawling, lusty and brutal saga, flaunting enough sex and violence to make a Hobbit faint, it's impossible not to succumb to Thrones' visceral, dark magic.

Is Game of Thrones one of the great HBO series? It's too early to tell, though judged purely as an immense yet improbably graceful narrative machine, I'd have to say yes.

It's another level of pop culture wizardry to make such storytelling seem so vivid, so vital, and just plain fun.

It's all a lot to swallow, let alone digest. But Game of Thrones nonetheless is an undertaking worth applauding for its audacity if not always for its overall senses of direction or cohesion.

The new season of this dense medieval fantasy set in a land called Westeros serves up a whole bunch of wartime posturing, a seemingly endless number of would-be rulers and the usual sex and (sometimes in the same scene) violence. But it sure doesn't give viewers much to latch onto.

This isn't a tv show, its a long godlike movie split into pieces. Its the best.. whatever it is.. of all time. The quantity here doesn't spoil the quality. If you are any fan of movies, you can't miss it. The second season doesn't disappoint and who cares that its not the same like the books. What that has to do with the quality of the show ? Expand

That was SOMETHING! Alan Tailor is gonna be famous after this! Beautiful acting, dialogs, perfect sets and certainly story.. Robb and Jaime had an awesome dialogue. Melisandre, Dawos and Stannis fitted just perfectly. And I cant say about all cast, but they ALL were brilliant. Tnx for a great show! Gonna re-watch episode later.. Expand

This is by far my favorite TV show that I watch right now, narrowly beating out Mad Men. The story lines are fantastic and I find myself eager to read the books. However, I don't want to ruin the show for myself. It's quite the dilemma. The dialogue exchange between Arya and Tywin Lannaster is enough to make me watch this show, not including the other great characters and plots unfolding. Really looking forward to Episode 9 and all the madness that is about to occur in it! Expand

This show is so overrated. That's mostly because all the young boys who never seen a boob before popped their first boner while watching this show. Its full of not needed nudity and ugly ass unrealistic sex scenes wth?!?!

As for the story, its a huge filler filled mess of convoluted BS and the characters are acting like retard without ANY common sense.

How anyone can like this drivel is beyond me...
