It returns with an emotional and surprising (hint: you'll never look at icicles the same way) premiere.
It’s a heady mix of high-octane drama, racy romance and topical commentary – whether that’s this week’s AI critique, or the show’s unflinching look at the deadly fallout of the Roe v Wade decision. No wonder that this preposterously escapist but firmly progressive show, always a trailblazer thanks to its diverse cast and ambitious female characters, is a multi-generational favourite.

es una serie magnifica que se merece todo el amor que le han dado, y es tan bueno su drama como lo bien que actúan los personajes, es una serie con la que me he familiarizado de maciado, ya llevo un año viéndola y es lo mejor que e visto en toda mi vida, me ha sacado tantas sonrisas como llantos, de verdad estoy muy agradecida de que la hayan creado. gracias a ella ya se que estudiar

A familiar premise with fresh faces and equal doses of humor and pathos might be the right prescription for fans of the genre. [27 March 2005, p.039]
Nobody's apt to forget "ER" because of this, but the mix of a youthful cast, crisp dialogue, romance, the Darwinian workplace struggle to survive, and life-or-death situations combine to make the show appealing and watchable in spite of its familiarity.
ABC's promise, a bold one, is "A New Beginning." That may be overstating what we see tonight, but at least we do get a brand-new guy for Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang to kiss. That's a good start. But as with any veteran show, some of the old mix-and-match gets redundant.
Unfortunately, the best bits of the premiere were the flashbacks to the finale, though their impact was watered down considerably in the context of an action-less storyline, filled with Grey's usual rambling pontifications.
The script by Shonda Rhimes, nimbly directed by Peter Horton (once an actor on "thirtysomething"), is nothing but a casserole made of equal parts ham and corn.
I understand there is a whole new young generation hooked on Grey's Anatomy and I just wanted to add that I had never watched this show until I was 74 and I am now 75 and just finishing Season 14 and will start 15 tomorrow. I am completely in love with all the characters and I just can't get enough of the show. I can't believe I missed it all these years but I am making up for lost time now. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it. It is by far my favorite TV show ever and I wish it would never end.

The first three seasons of this show are pretty tolerable. After that it’s just a repetitive barrage of idiotic drama for the sake of drama. If you pay any amount of attention, you’ll find that every character becomes a hypocrite, as they commit the same **** deeds that their frenemies had committed against them in the previous season. It’s a predictable loop of obnoxious drama.
