  • Starring: Kari Matchett, Danielle Nicolet, Chris William Martin
  • Summary: Everwood's Treat Williams once again plays a doctor--this time a heart transplant surgeon--in TNT's new original drama. We should warn you, though, that he's also a member of the ever-growing clique of television characters who speak to ghosts.

  1. A surprisingly effective personal drama.
  2. This is suspense that goes well beyond that of most medical shows.
  3. 63
A mushy, messy, medical melodrama that's pretty much identical to a dozen other doctor dramas you've seen many times before.

Despite “Heartland’s” obviously good intentions and Williams’ likable presence, it’s difficult to find a pulse in this workmanlike drama.
  5. Fox should send TNT the super fancy bouquet because, once again, "House" never looked so good.
  6. 30
"Heartland" doesn't use its talent in service of anything other than predictable, inoffensive stories and a contrived relationship between the two leads.

    [A] treacly piece of tripe.

But I felt I could tell what was coming. I figured the doctor and his ex would get together, but it wouldn't lead to anything. His nurse girlfriend is too clingy. I hope to see more characters develop, otherwise this will turn into a boring story about a couple that split up and wonder if they should have. Expand

good cast, ok show. I do like the fact that they are not 100% successful.

It's a little to much like "House", but I'm hoping that the storyline will improve.

Probably the worst acting (male lead) I've seen in a looong time. So, so boring show.
