This is good bunk, fun bunk, energetic bunk. Much better bunk than the last volume.

Based on the first action-packed and fun episode, it looks like Kring and crew have succeeded in pulling out of their sophomore slump.
  3. The first hour of Heroes answers enough questions and moves the story forward in such a way that a few "Huh?" moments won't matter as long as they're answered in short order and don't linger for too long.

In their certitude, the villains are more compelling than their wishy-washy heroic counterparts. The real excitement of “Villains” is its promise to expand the series’ assortment of baddies: their unabashed queerness and freakery make for more fun.
  5. Even just a half hour in, it's difficult not to wish everyone would just lighten the heck up. The graphic novel noir feel is becoming increasingly oppressive, and everyone is just so grim.

NBC sent the first hour of tonight's two-hour season premiere to critics, and it's sprinkled with some of the original fun: inventive special effects, a twist or two, some nifty gore. That doesn't stop it from being the same, familiar mess.

This show, which was once so thrilling and fun, has become full of itself, its characters spouting crazy nonsense.

The 3rd series of Heroes was probably the 2nd best overall with the return of the twist and turns that had excited viewers during the 1st run. I'm not sure splitting the series up was a great idea but I think that critics and viewers alike were far to critical of it after its unfortunate writers guild incident. A shame,a real shame. Expand

Still not living up to it's 1st season expectation but still worth watching. Some of the characters really haven't grown such as Mr Bennett who has actually shrunk down to his only motivation and reason for living is his daughter Clare. The actor is doing the best he can with a 2 dimensional script. However, the character Peter Petrelli has been more enriched this season, as has the brother Nathan Petrelli. Expand

Pretty decent run. Volume Three "Villains" is considerably much better than Volume Four "Fugitives". All the characters' identities seem to have completely changed or taken a turn into the unknown in both volumes 3 and 4. There doesn't seem to be much interesting interaction between the characters. It's very much focused on "stopping the bad guy" rather than what made the first series good, which is an exploration of different characters' motives. Overall I'd certainly advise watching "Villains" but the Fugitives volume seems more like a brainstorm of ideas. You have all these chapters but none of them really connect to the end result. It's all a bit jumbled. Expand

It's desperation; I wish someone could've saved which was once such a brilliant show.

This season was very boring, I was so hooked in the first 2 seasons and got here and it just dropped off. I was very dissapointed. I quit watching it halfway throught because I couldnt do it. Expand
