Performance so lacking in spark that it's a wonder the titular dirigible actually combusts at the end. [15 Mar 2013, p.57]
Not surprisingly, it's when this enterprise adheres strictly to the formula for such films--a race to find the time bomb in time, a struggle against impossible odds--that this talky series, blighted by wooden dialogue, finds any strength.... Even without such flaws there could be no overcoming the creaking absurdity at the heart of Hindenburg.
No question, Hindenburg is a disaster--from start to finish.
