Immortalized is the better of the two ["Freakshow" being the other] because it revels in its own absurdity.
Taxidermy would have made a great subject of a documentary special. But as a competition show? It's as lively as the animals displayed.
Bombastic music cues and promises of excitement fail to persuade the viewer that Immortalized isn’t just a dead skunk in the middle of February’s road, stinkin’ up to high heaven.
A taxidermy version of "Top Chef," so overblown it could only work as parody.
