This is by far one of the most underrated shows on Netflix right now; it's incredibly witty, funny, charming, and boasts great performances especially from Daniel Ings - the show is much more than what its premise would suggest and the way each episode is helmed makes you have to keep up with the timeline as well as the show's setting. Can't get enough of it!
Amazing show! Very funny, definitely one of the best comedies on TV. Great acting, plot, writing and music. It feels like a better, cooler, funnier, British version of How I Met Your Mother. 10/10!
I just watched both seasons of this series last night and this morning. I loved it. It has everything I like in a comedy series - good writing, good acting, good directing, a timeline that keeps you on your toes, and satisfying episode endings. It is so much more than the synopsis reveals. I wish there were more seasons to watch because I'm completely invested in these characters. Daniel Ings (Luke) - think Henry Cavill meets Hugh Grant - is a standout and steals most every scene he's in.
The first season (aired as "Scrotal Recall") was a hilarious romp through the post-modern world of dating and relationships, told through misadventures of a romantic oaf reaching out to his past lovers to let them know about his STI. Season two just keeps falling short, neither amusing (despite the occasional laugh) or well written, and just ends up serving heap after heap of trite sentimentalism for a generation that just isn't into that crap.
