Sure, Mick's life is ridiculoous, but you don't go lookin' for realism between "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs." [05 Oct 2007, p.67]
  2. The focus is on the dangerous and forbidden relationship between Mick and Beth and his efforts to keep his past a secret. Whether there's enough material there to knit together a series remains to be seen.

Moonlight, unfortunately, doesn't trust its audience and so falls to exposition via a fake talk-show interview at the beginning, and then throughout with dialogue dully delivered by Internet investigative reporter Beth Turner (Sophia Myles).

  1. There are some good lines and some cheesy ones, but the main thing that will make or break it for you is how you feel about Alex O'Loughlin. Personally, I don't understand the bad reviews for his acting--what others call stiff, I'd call subtle, but whatever (I think Americans' taste is closer to Bollywood than the BBC). And he's gorgeous. Not as horrible as I thought. it would be. I wanted to hate it but it was a little better than I expected, considering that this was done in the 1990s and called "Forever Knight." Expand

Ack! Drek! The plots make no sense. St.Johns' stdiously rugged rasp is annoying beyond words. There is a complete lack of chemistry between the vamp and his blond love interest. And they can't even make Jason Doehring interesting which is a sin and I frankly thought was impossible. Get this junk off the air and give us something decent! Expand
