Well written, well performed, heartfelt family drama that gets stronger with each season. It doesn't have much in the way of comedy as the more popular family sitcoms have, but what makes it unique is what makes it worth watching.
This show doesn't get enough attention. Metacritic should include the hugely positive review that ran in the new yorker about Season 3: http://www.newyorker.com/arts/critics/television/2012/01/02/120102crte_television_nussbaum?currentPage=all
Hands down the best drama on television today!!! Catch the first year of the series on Netflix (and soon the second year) to give you a better feel for the characters. It is beyond me why this show is ignored by the awards shows.
