Sensitive Skin (UK) is a British dark comedy-drama series revolving around the lives of a wealthy couple, Al and Davina Jackson. The couple, who are now past 50, lives in metropolitan London, while being embattled by sexual temptation and professional jealousy from their friends. Al (Denis Lawson), works as a pundit for a newspaper publication company, while his wife Davina (Joanna Lumley), is an artist in a nearby art gallery. However, together with their own personal problems, they have a 30-year old son, Orlando (James Lance), who still thinks and acts as a spoiled adolescent. Al and Davina may seem to have everything, but they are actually unsatisfied with their own lives and fears the future. Sensitive Skin follows the journey of Al and Davina as they struggle to rediscover personal happiness, while coping to understand whatever outcome the future may bring. The show first aired in BBC 2 channel in 2005, and a second series later followed in 2007.
