Househusbands of Hollywood is a lot more real than I expected it to be.

This show tackles a genuinely interesting issue: how high-achieving men cope with what society sees as demoting themselves by staying home while their wives earn the family money. It tackles that question in a calm and at times even insightful way.

Given the ubiquity of "Real Housewives" shows, it may be a sign of equality for a show about househusbands, but adding to the lame reality show glut does not feel like societal progress.

Househusbands pretends to be about shifting marital dynamics and social mores, and almost by accident, there is some evidence of that. Mostly, though, it's just another family sitcom starring a bunch of actors--and one ambitious morning TV host--auditioning for their next jobs.

Cassie R gave it an8:
Househusbands is definitely something new and fresh in the world of reality TV since most reality TV consists of obnoxious women and sex and really annoying drama. It's original considering not many men are househusbands and it's nice to see their point of view and their wives' as well. I enjoy the show even though I hardly ever watch reality shows.

Billy and Lisa are complete morons. Horrible, horrble actors. Grant and his wife are idiots too. You don't have to wonder why these people can't get an acting job. I would never buy beauty products from someone who lets their dogs pee and poop all over the house and then they package the skin products and mail them. Yuck.. Danny & Katherine can't act=boring. The only people that are good are Tempest, Darryl and Charlie. The rest are horrible and I can't watch the show. Awful.
Vee gave it a9:
Very entertaining and much more believable than any of the "Real Housewives" shows. I love Daryl and Grant is gorgeous. Danny is boring! Grant needs to be on a soap, he should be the next big soap star! Billy needs a coaching "gig", he'd be great! Charlie's fun to watch too. I'm sure it must be hard for these men for these "macho" men to play househusbands but they seem like good fathers AND great husbands. Keep up the good work, I hope the show is renewed!
Ray R gave it a1:
Becoming boring and predictable. I wonder if anyone has questioned Danny's sexual preferences.
