Based on a recurring Los Angeles stage show, this sketch comedy program blends filmed segments with stand-up music and jokes by its "T-Bones" Tibbins and a trucker who wears nothing but a guitar and footwear.

Detroit Free PressMike Duffy

A pleasurable hang loose dose of lowbrow lunacy for the smart set in a wigged-out Hicksville variety show.

The writing's clever, though spotty. [19 Jan 2007, p.74]

Highly amusing.

They work well together, especially considering their partnership is a relatively new facet of their careers. But their work as a comedy duo loses some of its edge when it is refined and processed, sliced and diced, and repackaged for half-hour episodes of television.

[It] is funny in parts, which may be funny enough for some. But they must be plucked from a show that never quite gets going the way it should, never gathers satisfying speed but instead struggles like an overloaded semi on a mountain grade.

Pittsburgh Post-GazetteRob Owen

Occasionally amusing, "Naked Trucker" is mostly just odd.

Allen and Koechner are pleasant enough company that it's not a particularly bad way to waste a half-hour, but for anyone seeking the kind of full-throttle mirth the title's lunacy would suggest, sorry, but you'll have to keep on truckin'.

Ultimately, though, the show doesn't work. The humor isn't as sharp or imaginative or ironic as it needs to be, to justify all the free-floating oddness.

Nothing in “The Naked Trucker & T-Bones Show” glides off the tongue. And all the Quaker State Motor Oil in the world couldn’t silken the delivery.

Mark H gave it a10:
Its different and funny. Its just a goofy show and you can get some good cheap laughs from it. Give it a chance you just might like it.

Adam S gave it a0:
Seriously, did this show make any of the Comedy Central execs laugh before they put it on the air or were they all asleep during the pitch and were too embarassed to admit it....?? "ZZZZZZ............Huh what...er...yeah guys looks like a great show...we'll take it." "This guy was hillarious in Anchorman and Out Cold...how bad can this show be?"

Nat S gave it a1:
Thought the aproach is new and interseting the finished product falls flat. "Naked Trucker" is neither intelligent comedy or good ole' low-brow humor. My husband and I have watched it several times trying to warm up to it. And we both agree it's just plain bad!!! A comedy show should make you laugh....I couldn't even manage a smile.

Laura B gave it a10:
Excellent, amusing, Koechner's delivery is hillarious.

Chris B gave it a10:
I can only hope that this show is one day lauded as the comic masterpiece that it is. A modern vaudeville act that is profoundly funny, raunchy, goofy, and brilliant. I expected to not like this show, but when I gave it a chance, I was just floored. Best thing on TV! I look forward to new episodes every week, and there is always something new to laugh about upon re-watching. Sad to think their life on Comedy Central is probably limited... very sad! I hope I will be able to see new episodes on the web or live or SOMEWHERE!! And I hope the eight episodes are compiled on a DVD sometime soon... PLEASE NAKED TRUCKER AND T-BONES, DON'T STOP SHARING YOUR GENIUS WITH US!

Dave M gave it a1:
Obtuseness for its own sake is not automatically funny. An innovative show actually has more work cut out for it in terms of making it all hang together just right. Hip weirdness, as a mere gimmick, is the worst kind of un-hip gimmick.

Michael B gave it a0:
Had high hopes for a new comedy sketch show from Comedy Central. Sadly disappointed by this attempt. I could actually feel my intelligence getting lower the longer I watched (I believe my brain cells were fleeing in a desperate attempt to escape this tripe). To quote Futurama "it was so bad, I think it gave me cancer!"
