Summary

Cancelled after its one-season run on cable's FX, the Steven Bochco-produced "Over There" was the first television drama set during a current war. It followed a group of U.S. Army soldiers deployed in Iraq.

People watch TV to escape, but it seems very few people want to escape to an ongoing war, so the ratings suffered. It's a shame because this show was great.

Its GREAT Too bad that it was cancalled!!! It is So "true to Life" It depicks the the way things really are, for the most part!!! We know we live the Military life. We are pro-military but its true, War is Hell. Really wish they did not cancel this series, what a shame. Hey, maybe they will try again. We hope so and so do most of our military friends and family!!! Think about it!!!

I hate anything to do with war but even I was hooked as my son watched this. He wants to join the military and I think it gives alot more views about a soldiers life than he would get else where. I would love to see them bring back the series.

The show was great, but I have a feeling that it was cancelled due to the pressure from US govt, for obvious reason... ;) I've added it to my DVD collection!

It was a great show,but i guess it didn't fit in with what the anti-Bush clan wanted it to stress!!!!

Great show, after the first episode i was hooked! captures the hardships for soldiers brilliantly and its the first american war series that doesn't try to promote how great the US military is....
