Summary

Starring Lucy Lawless, Dylan Neal, Brett Butler, Liam Waite, Timothy Bottoms, and Tony Plana

A college is terrorized by mutated vampire bats that kill scantily-clad humans in this made-for-television movie from the "creative" team that brought you "Locusts." Can college professor Lucy Lawless save the student body? What do you think.

Washington PostTom Shales

Even if many elements of "Vampire Bats" seem, to say the least, familiar, director Eric Bross and writer Doug Prochilo still deliver some darn good frights.

The person who steals every scene is Brett Butler as the sister-in-law.

Hollywood ReporterMarilyn Moss

"Vampire Bats" doesn't exactly have the makings of classic horror (or even Halloween) fare, but it's decent enough for a spell or two.

Entertainment WeeklyMandi Bierly

We appreciate CBS embracing the spooky spirit... but they really should leave the camp-out to the Sci Fi Channel, which isn't afraid to fully commit. [28 Oct 2005, p.80]

People WeeklyTom Gliatto

Silly. [7 Nov 2005, p.41]

VarietyBrian Lowry

Mostly an excuse for coeds to strip down to their underwear.

Just as awful as "Locusts" was.

Diana L gave it a3:
tried to watch it but after an hour it just didn't get better

Sherman gave it a1:
It Stinks

Eric Bross gave it a3:
No, I'm not the same Eric Bross who directed this thing, but even knowing one of the college coeds CBS gets props for focusing on the Halloween spirit. While slightly entertaining, I wouldn't bother watching this if you've taped it to see later.
