For the Fisher family, the world outside of their family-owned funeral home continues to be at least as challenging as--and far less predictable than--the one inside.Oscar(R)-winning screenwriter Alan Ball's breakout series that takes a darkly comic look at members of a dysfunctional L.A. family that run a funeral business. Too dark, too true, too uncompromising for the network audience...It isn't really, of course. The suits make a habit of underestimating the American television audience, then they wonder why it keeps leaving. [1 June 2001, p.E-1]

It's seriously good, though not always serious. [3 June 2001, p.1E]

The shame is, after a very slow start, the living members of the Fisher family actually start to grow on you -- though it takes them far longer than it should. [1 June 2001, p.15E]

Six Feet Under is as artificial as the AstroTurf funeral directors place around a grave site. [3 June 2001, p.91]

  1. Uma excelente primeira temporada que, mesmo não tendo um cliffhanger, faz você salivar pela segunda temporada. Nunca vi personagens tão bons numa mesma série. Expand
  2. Quite possibly the best show ever made. Is it even a show? Felt pretty real to me.
  3. This show kept me hooked after watching one episode and had drama that I enjoyed watching. All of the characters acted to perfection as their role/character. I simply loved ALL of this season, all of the plots, subplots, characters, and fuenerals. Expand
  4. Not for those looking for feel good stories. Not for those looking for thrills and chills. Not for those looking for plot hooks to surprise or inspire you. But if your looking for a dialogue, character driven stories to invoke some thought on our culture, then Six Feet Under is your show. This is a show that I will continue to watch and probably enjoy, but will never run to my set to see what happens next. That is Six Feet Under in a nutshell. Collapse
