  • Summary: Smallville tells the tale of a teenage Clark Kent in the days before he was Superman. It is the town where he came from where very strange things started happening with his arrival in a spaceship in the midst of a meteor storm of green rocks. Clark must deal with a variety of individuals given powers by the green rocks, keep his powers a secret, cope with his friendship with a young Lex Luthor, and balance the two girls in his life, Chloe and Lana. The show also shows us how Lex Luthor develops from a friend of Clark's and kinda-okay guy to (presumably) the villain who will plague Superman in his later years. Expand

I've been watching Smallville since it premiered in 2001. This is a great show full of action and romance. I can't get enough. I wish it wasn't over :( Collapse

Smallville, the WB television series that became CW owned lasted 10 long season as it came to a close in May of 2011. The finale was bitter sweet but you got a very small glimpse of what Tom Welling would have looked like in the Superman outfit. A great farewell to an actor who would have been great as Superman in the Man of Steel but hopefully Henry Cavill (the first British person to portray Superman) will show the world how its done. We just have to wait until June 2013 to find out. The television show helped me survive high school, since as it was ending, I was biding farewell to Smallville and my life as a teenager. I will miss the show and am a proud owner of the Complete Series. I hope to see Tom Welling as Superman again one day. Maybe? Expand

What aload of crud. Completely rinsed of all respect.
Having to watch it to the very end is torture. Adding the adverts from E4 is also a
nightmare although that has nothing to do with Smallville.
The series is just licking lips at the money its made, raked in from loyal viewers and not once put any real cash into it to treat its loyal fanbase, not even the final season and thats just wrong.
The final season should have treated us to good effects and a solid storyline that sticks to it but what we have is the usual crap that jumps from one story to another and then back again.
The writers think they're smart but lets be honest every character who works at the Daily Planet would recognise superman and say"Oh thats Clark i work with him at the Daily Planet",because he has no disguise,no glasses or nothing. It would have been ideal to have Clark where the Glasses when hes roaming around as Clark and maybe lose them when hes off saving the city but nope he just dpesnt wear them so either the writers are idiots or Tom Welling is ,eitherway the credibility of this series is none existent.
Atleast Nolan AND Snyider's Superman Film will be as Epic as Nolans Batman Films or atleast should be. Fingers crossed.
