  1. There are people in this world who find flatulence mightily entertaining, and they should be happy here.
  2. 70
The two-zany formula still works for movie after movie, and the occasional TV show. Case in point: Tonight's Testees, airing on the risk-happy FX network; the comedy doesn't push boundaries so much as trounce and trash them.
  3. I don't know that there's a long-running series here--even the pilot runs out of steam before the end--but I did laugh several times.
  4. 30
A show so strange and vile and stupid that I really wish I could strongly recommend it.
  5. All of this might be vaguely defensible if “Testees” were trying to satirize the abuses of Big Pharma, or the limited opportunities for dumb white men, or really if it were trying to satirize anything at all. But it just sits there, inert, like a patient on a gurney.
  6. 20
Testees probably shouldn't be considered part of the fall season, but let's be fair--it's as lousy as anything the broadcast nets have come up with.
  7. There's no need to go any further. Testees makes "Kath & Kim" look smart and savvy, a nearly impossible feat.

What a huge difference between what users are saying about the show and how the critics rated it... Obviously there are a lot of fans. Count me as one... very well written and acted show. Shame FX couldn't have given it another season to catch on. Expand

One of my favorite shows. You need a sophisticated sense of humor to enjoy it. That may sound bizarre, but you have to be able to analyze the situations and realize how unique this show is. The plot has never been done. I love Everybody Loves Raymond and Seinfeld, but they're are lots of cheap rip offs of those shows that aren't being cancelled. This the Flight of the Conchords on FX, and the the only good show on the network besides It's Always Sunny. (The edge still goes to Testees). Expand

Witty comedy with plenty of slap stick sprinkled on top. I can only hope that this show is brought back. This show is exactly what I hope to watch after a long day. Expand

Never heard any hype about this show other than the brief commercials leading up to it. I have to say, I didn't think that FX could top the crude (yet awesome) humor of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia but they knocked it out of the park on this one. If you have delicate sensibilities, I would recommend you just go ahead and block FX completely because this is obviously not your forte. I for one am now a fan of the show. Expand

This show was clever, very clever, it made the sort of cringing humor that I normally despise, work... And boy they made it work well! Every episode took the show to new levels of depravity and stupidity and I loved it. Jelly bean omlettes was a classic. I still and cringe when I think about it. Steve Markle deserved an Oscar for doing that one scene. Superb. Expand

Gross, vulgar, low, and laugh-out-loud funny. Some of the episodes are comedic gems, as funny as anything I've ever seen on TV. The only reason I give it a 9 out of 10 is because not every story achieves the high standards this show has set for itself... but even the weaker eps are worth checking out. Is anyone watching this series? I hope so!! Expand

Shock humor that's too much shock and not enough humor. The concept seems great, but the jokes aren't there. The only redeeming value is watching their bodies undergo various changes, most of which, make me want to vomit and turn off the tv, of which only the latter happens. Expand
