The movie deals lightly with the racism Douglas faced in a predominantly white sport, but mostly her road to gold is paved with after-school-movie maxims like "Don't look back, look forward."

Imani's acting was fine, but she needed to have a body like a gymnast to pull it off completely. Part of preparing for the roll should have included actual training to get Imani's body in shape. The script was ok, but not great. I would have loved to see more competition scenes and the movie was way too long. Full Review »
