In ABC's latest reality competition, 11 aspiring musicians are granted the chance to work with some of the industry's best producers, vocal coaches, choreographers, fitness trainers, image consultants, and more. While sprucing up their respective games and learning what it's really like to be a professional, the contestants will of course live together in a house under constant video surveillance. Tensions of every sort will certainly arise, and ABC viewers will witness every dramatic moment.
During Tuesday's live show, each contestant must perform a song in front of a studio audience and America's public. The performances will be woven together with illuminating peeks into the artists' daily lives, allowing viewers to take quite a bit into consideration before casting their votes for the most talented contestant.
Wednesday's results show will bring one elimination per week, and the drama will only increase as the group of finalists grows smaller and smaller. When the final winner is left standing, he or she will be awarded the grand prize of a recording contract with Interscope/Geffen/A&M Label Group.
The One is based on hit Spanish Endemol series Operación Triunfo.
