Summary: Welcome to The Xtra Factor guide at TV.com. The Xtra Factor airs on ITV2 when The X Factor ends on ITV1 and is hosted by Ben Shephard. During the audition stages it shows some exclusive unseen auditions and reactions from the judges. During the lives stages, it shows exclusive clips of the contestants during the week, of their sound checks and talks to the latest evicted act. In season 1 there was just one Xtra Factor show, airing after the live shows on ITV 1 on a Saturday night. This show talked to the judges and to the latest evicted act. In season 2, two extra one-hour shows were added to the Xtra Factor line-up. 24/7 aired midweek and showed footage of the contestants during their week as they prepared to the next live show and became accustomed to the popstar lifestyle. The other new show, Xcess All Areas aired on the Friday and checked in with the contestants before the Saturday live show. Exclusive previews of the contestants sound checking are shown along with fun and games as they play "Super Fan." The show after the live Saturday night show continues to get the latest reaction from the mentors and their acts. In season 3, 24/7 becomes The Aftermath and continues to show exclusive footage of the contestants during their week. In season 4 Fearne Cotton takes the helm and the show airs exclusively on Saturdays. In season 5 Holly Willoughby hosts the show with the show airing before and after the main live shows. Airing Times: Seasons 1-5: The Live Show airs at various times on Saturday evening depending on the times of the main ITV1 show. Seasons 2-3: Xcess All Areas airs on Friday at various times but is usually at 8pm. Season 2: 24/7 aired at 8pm on Wednesday Season 3: The Aftermath airs at 8pm on Thursday.
