Description: Timeless Some stories must be told. Legends that last a lifetime. Tales that are Timeless. In the world of sports, some stories transcend the calendar and the whims of pop culture; they're simply timeless. ESPN2 captures these stories in a new 30-week series Timeless, airing Saturdays at 11:30 am ET on ESPN2. Each week, the half-hour show will highlight some of the sports world's true hidden gems. Viewers will see some heated competition in the national Wrist Wrestling Championships; they'll meet Flint Southwestern Academy's Willie McQueen, a double amputee who plays defensive tackle for the football team; they'll accompany three of Princeton's best chess players to Trenton State Prison as they take on inmates in a game that provides common ground; they'll see the Pop Warner Super Bowl and they'll learn about a community - and that's just a taste... Produced by ESPN Original Entertainment (EOE) in conjunction with Red Line Films and hosted by Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Dhani Jones, Timeless will span the globe to highlight towns and communities with unique sports stories all their own. (Presented in HDTV on ESPN2HD) About Dhani His first name, Dhani, means "thinking man" in the Hindi language. His middle name, Makalani, means "skilled in writing" in the Polynesian language. This guy was destined to become a renaissance man. His stable of hobbies include his love for poetry, classical music, oil painting, wood working and photography. His favorite artist is Salvador Dali. His favorite quote is "Carpe Diem" latin for "seize the day." He plays in the NFL. Where did this guy come from? "When I was choosing colleges I saw a pamphlet from Michigan that had the "Block M" sitting on top of the world," said Jones. "I wanted to be on top of the world. I knew that if football wasn't going to get me there, my education from Michigan could." The son of Samuel, a Navy Commander, and Nancy, an anesthesiologist, Dhani grew up in a setting he described as "just like the Cosby Show." "There was an emphasis on education and hard work," said Jones. "I worked hard in school and I delivered pizzas for four years. I was pretty good at it. I even delivered one to Wonder Woman (Linda Carter)." Growing up, he also developed a strong sense of world awareness and social responsibility. "Someday I want to take a group of kids and teach them about what's out there," said Jones. "I want to show them that the $100 dollars they may spend on a pair of shoes could be used to live for a week in some countries." Theme Song: 'Timeless Theme' Composed by Gary Arnold and Trey Gunn
