The show seems faster, brighter and more entertaining than most of the serials that beat it to the punch this fall.
  2. It's all very tense and fun, underscored by sirens and ominous techno music, shot in that popular, over-caffeinated jumpiness that here at least makes sense.
  3. The first episode of "Traveler" is well made and quite gripping.

The premiere plays like a solid thriller.

A pretty nifty, if completely insane, suspense/conspiracy/ chase/road adventure.
  6. An action-packed adrenaline rush.
  7. 63
The action is fast and sometimes even compelling, if not entirely believable - or even a little believable.
  8. 60
    Another workmanlike, reasonably decent thriller.
  9. 60
The show... can easily be enjoyed simply as a fairly proficient thriller, pushing the kind of buttons that Alfred Hitchcock used to push with such films as "North by Northwest" -- although here they're pushed with much less artfulness and finesse.
  10. Like so many current serials, [it] requires viewers to buy into the idea that its heroes have no choice but to do very unobvious things.
  11. 40
After 24, Lost, Heroes and Prison Break, prime time is overstocked with such sprawling, demanding plots.
  12. 40
Alas, show creator David DiGilio forgot to put distinct personalities on his fast-moving bodies.
  13. 40
The problem is, at the end of the pilot, one simply doesn't care enough about Jay and Tyler to go on the lam with them each week.
  14. 38
The debut episode isn't so bad. The action is fairly taut, except for a dumb foot chase. The direction is tight, despite a few improbable twists.
  15. I'm already committed to Prison Break. One cockamamy chase show is all my unaddled brain can handle.
  16. You have to suspend an awful lot of disbelief to buy into this premise, and even at that the protagonists aren't nearly compelling enough to care a lot about.

Love the show! The end of last season is a great start for season 2!!!! Hope ABC has enough common sense to bring it back for a second season.
