Jul 1, 201210Very good adaptation with a modern flavor. Cast is exelent and the story focus more on mindgames than action; tough some of the action scenes are pretty good after the crew reach the island. I'm a big fan of the book and I think the new characters and subplots add to the novel, It's a refreshing way to remember a childhood classic, or to know it for the first time.

70The adaption takes liberties with Stevenson's tale that some will find unforgivable. But viewers open to experimentation will enjoy simply seeing if they agree with the choices the filmmakers made in their what-if game.
