The show’s beauty is not in big moments, or exquisitely written scenes (though it has both), it comes in the pauses between, the semicolons and commas that make up the bulk of many lives, but which TV has trouble giving full heft.

The show fades away like a Mari Gras parade drifting out of range. But it's a potent memory. [16 Dec 2013]

Treme imparts a feeling, however small in scope, of real transformation in the Crescent City, but it comes with an insensitivity toward the city's traditions.

Still good, still not for everyone, and almost gone for good.

A half a loaf is better than none at all. When it's baked by David Simon, Eric Overmyer and George Pelecanos, it's better than most people's full loaf.

This show was very well written. The characters have depth and are complex. The show draws you in so that you feel like these people are your friends and I'm so sad to see this series end. The acting is so well done and every time it watch it I want to move to New Orleans, it's a shame after four short seasons it's ending, although for me it ended much better than some series that just leave you hanging.
