    Even if many elements of "Vampire Bats" seem, to say the least, familiar, director Eric Bross and writer Doug Prochilo still deliver some darn good frights.

    "Vampire Bats" doesn't exactly have the makings of classic horror (or even Halloween) fare, but it's decent enough for a spell or two.

    We appreciate CBS embracing the spooky spirit... but they really should leave the camp-out to the Sci Fi Channel, which isn't afraid to fully commit. [28 Oct 2005, p.80]

    Mostly an excuse for coeds to strip down to their underwear.

    No, I'm not the same Eric Bross who directed this thing, but even knowing one of the college coeds CBS gets props for focusing on the No, I'm not the same Eric Bross who directed this thing, but even knowing one of the college coeds CBS gets props for focusing on the Halloween spirit. While slightly entertaining, I wouldn't bother watching this if you've taped it to see later. Expand
