Young & Hungry is nicely paced, and even in the first episode, the humor is character-driven. It's as uncomplicated, and tasty, as a good grilled cheese.

A more than occasionally funny show in which Gabi (Emily Osment), an appealing but financially challenged food blogger, becomes personal chef to Josh (Jonathan Sadowski), an appealing but romantically challenged tech-ionaire.

Everything in Young & Hungry is predictable, including most of the jokes.

Unfortunately, that suggestion of recklessness doesn’t extend to the dialogue, which feels like a focus group’s idea of what young people do (propose, have jobs) and joke about (Google), and borrows liberally from long-familiar punchlines.

It is an amazing comedy and it has great actress and actors. This show is great for Emily Osment because she won't just be known as the girl from Hannah Montana. This is a BIG step for her. This show is really better than Mystery Girls. :) I wish this show was an hour long. I just can't get enough of the laughter of the show. Directors, keep up the good work. Praying that this show get pick up for another season.. :) Expand

This show is HILARIOUS! I love the whole cast, and I also really enjoy the fact that it is not ridiculously crude; I don't feel guilty about watching this show with my young niece in the room. I can't WAIT for second season. Expand

Well, I love Emily so I may be biased.

It's funny. Other reviews on other sites seem to say that it is not the breakthrough comedy of the
year. Well. it's not. But it is the only show I've seen in a while where I actually laughed. You watch a show like this to see the characters develop. We know a little about Gabi. Josh, Sophia and Caroline and we will learn more. I want to see how Josh deals with Caroline. (Who is a mess.) You watch a show like this to laugh or chuckle (your choice) I watch a TV show and I want to feel good afterwards, not depressed. I want it light.

And Emily does a fine job with the character.

Hilarious and edgy! It's high energy and fun. The entire cast is funny and compliments each other nicely. It's a gem in the ABC Family line up. It's cute and just an overall enjoyable experience. Expand

Looks really cool and unique. Emily Osment is totally back and the rest of the cast is so lovelly. Yolanda is my favorite, at least for now. Can't wait for next episode, acording to the synipse, it's getting better and better Expand

While this show can be moderately entertaining and occasionally funny,
I'm not sure the creators have a sought-through concept for it.
it's about a young, financially challenged woman getting a job at the house of a rich guy.
But all that is basically a pretence to get Emily Osment into one room with the rest of the cast
for creating some potentially funny situations, that don't have a lot to do with cooking.
Josh's unlikable fiance is lazy contrivance. Good thing she doesn't appear that often.
The plots are pretty thin and often kind of juvenile.
I guess, the show is for a younger audience, especially for those who like Emily Osment.
I like Rex Lee, as I liked him in 'Suburgatory' and Yolanda is funny, too, but on the whole
    this show is barely entertaining.

Shoddy excuse for a comedy show. Characters are more like caricatures, jokes are weak (and the laugh track doesn't help), and the timing and flow of conversation is robotic and unnatural at best. Expand
