Average User Score: 8.0Dec 7, 2012I have to rewrite my review now that some time has passed with the 3DS, and I went from disliking it to loving it.
I now prefer handheld consoles to regular consoles because of this console.
To be fair, the library is still a little weak, but the great games so far justify getting this thing.
Along with those, there's the regular DS library aswell.… Expand
Average User Score: 4.4May 16, 2012An average RPG, that's below the Bioware standard.
Whereas Bioware used to be the flagship RPG developer, this was the game that sunk their boat.
It feels more as if playing a spin-off series than a serious sequel. There are time when textures and models in the game will look great; and then you'll suddenly see hundreds of things that look like they were made 10 years ago.
The story feels rushed and there's nothing coherent or engaging about it. It's like the entire game is just a series of sidequests.
When you do quests you will see the same cave 100 times. They actually literally use the exact same cave design over and over again, it is a laziness you often don't see in RPGs these days, what were they thinking?… Expand
Average User Score: 7.7May 16, 2012I hated it at first, and then I loved it.
I guess that at first I had an idealized image of what the series was, but after actually having gone back to play the old games I came back with a fresh look on CIV V.
This is now my favourite game in the series, although there are some things missing that I would like, but they're apparently going to be re-introduced in the upcoming expansion.… Expand
Average User Score: 3.9May 16, 2012A step backwards for the entire gaming industry.
Rather than give players a full game experience, Blizzard-Activision decided to pull offline mode and LAN mode from the game.
The game series just isn't the same without it.
Because Blizzard was afraid of pirates, the people who actually have paid for the game now have to suffer the consequences.
Infact, pirates have already made the game public for download and have an offline mode.
The pirates have actually improved the game and given people a reason to pirate rather than purchasing.
Do not buy the game, do not buy it's DLC, and do not talk about it. This is how you make the game die and send a message to the developers.… Expand
