IEver bought a game and thought you were going to love it but the game actually ended up laggy and barely playable? Yeah, thats this game. I loved HOI2 and I still play it today, and I was very excited when I picked this game up, with all the new features promised, I nearly wet my bed in anticipation (I didnt actually btw). Well, their are many new features to this game, thats for sure, the developers really spent their time on this game, but they failed in the most important aspect...fun factor. This game isn't fun more than a hassle, firstly, the game is slow....and by slow I mean it. Secondly, it's too complex, it's easy to take over a simple country like say Belgium, but go against the Soviet Union and you'll have carpel tunnel trying to order your units around. Overall, this game won't interest you, unless your a hardcore HOI fan, stay away!… Expand

Firstly, the graphics aren't exactly what they used to be back in 2001, so get ready for a whopping change if your coming from modern shooters, secondly, if your a hardcore COD and Halo shooter fan, you will probably hate this game for one simply reason...one shot, one kill; this game will eat you alive, this is the most realistic tactical shooter ever made, so if your into running and gunning, leave now. And last but not least, be patient, this game is HARD, and takes many tries to complete missions at times, but at the end of it all, this is a fun game if you really sink your teeth into it, even in 2011, this game still never fails to impress me. I highly recommend it to any tactical shooter fan, or just a shooter fan in general because you just may fall in love with it.… Expand

Single-player isGoing to break it down really simple because if I wrote down everything on my mind about this game i'd write a novel.
Single-player is forgettable, it should be used more of a tutorial to the real jewel in this game...Mulitplayer. The multiplayer shines in this game, it only has two modes which is pretty disappointing but it's enough to get you wrapped up in this game for a couple weeks, the graphics are okay, nothing really special at all, destruction is a nice addition, and it's fun to play around with (although some indestructible objects are still there). Now as for online balancing, their is none, so get prepared to get demolished if your facing a stacked team of level 50's and clans while your stuck with moderate levels and lower levels, also, their are some camping spots which are nearly impossible to get to without getting killed by the camper per say. Other than that, this game is very fun, and i recommend it to anyone who enjoys a fun multiplayer experience. Final Notes: Very fun game, should be played in coordination with teammates in order to secure a winning streak and get points.… Expand

ButBulletstorm is a unique game, to say the least, and if your not a fan of action games, leave right now, because that's all this game is.
But it's a fun game, Bulletstorm isnt a graphical marvel or a story-driven saga starter, far from both might I add. The story is downright boring, and the graphics are less than marvellous, but the game is fun for one key reason, humour. This game is hilarious, and the kill with skill feature only adds to the hilarity, characters will constantly make smart ass jokes and make fun of each other with actual wit, I had a couple of burst out laughing moments a few times in this game. And if your a fan of Epic's previous games such as Gears of War, you'll feel pretty much at home here, with their trademark Unreal Engine in full effect, the blood coming from enemies torn torsos looks almost identical to that if you were cutting a locust in half with a chainsaw (although a bit brighter in Bulletstorm). I'd like to describe this game as a "Funnier, more happy approach to Gears of War", and thats what you can expect buying Bulletstorm.
Final notes: Fun game with lots of Humour and blood, perfect for any action junky who likes a good laugh, bad for everyone else.… Expand

But thats not really a bad thing, the Total War franchise has been a dominant player in the Turn based strategy gaming world ever since Rome: Total War. This game has no real story, the only objective is very simple....take over Japan. There are a couple of problems with this though, the developers pushed hard to emphasize that you play "however you want" through diplomacy, espionage, or through total military action, but the only way you will EVER win is with total military action. Another lingering problem that has haunted the Total War series is the incapable auto-managing AI, which will constantly raise taxes to the maximum level whenever it is engaged. This lack of any support from the AI to help manage your towns and cities is stressful at times, and doesn't add any real fun to game play, only frustration as you sit their trying to prevent rebellions and not going bankrupt. Another problem is the lack of any diversity between factions, as is, their isnt any...at all, they are virtually the same faction with different coloured armour and a few special bonuses to a select few major factions, unlike other total war games in recent memory, you will get extremely bored with each faction, and sometimes, even forget what faction your actually playing at times, although the developers cannot be specifically blamed for this since, well, it takes place on Japan, and diversity on a secluded island doesn't really exist.
Other than those little nagging issues, this game is almost identical to other games in the series, with nothing really new added onto it, but it's still a damn good game, and will take up hours of your day at a time once you get really into it. And with better looking graphics and a simplified interface, this game should go on any Total War fans "To buy" list.… Expand
