It's basically the best looking MMO on any platform, and as with just about any MMO, it's not going to be perfect upon release. Yes, there are some issues with the game as it currently exists, but Bungie is already patching the game, and has already announced major expansion plans.
In terms of presentation, gameplay, and most importantly, potential, this game deserves an 11 out 10. It's one of the most addictive shooters I've ever played. It manages to combine the loot driven PvE content of Borderlands and the insanely polished and fast paced PvP shooting in Halo.
I'll concede that the story is mediocre at best and some of the minor quests are pretty repetitive (although that's the nature of MMOs), but aside from that, this game is a really fun MMOFPS. It's an absolute blast to play with friends in the Crucible (the PvP arena) as well as in the Strikes and Raids (group PvE content).
Are there things they could have done slightly better? Yes, but overall, it's getting way too much hate from other users and critics. Diablo 3 was a joke when it launched, and it's now been completely revamped into a much more streamlined and enjoyable experience. Destiny has even more potential than Diablo, and there's a pretty huge amount of room for new content and improvement upon existing content.… Expand

TwoMagic 2015 could have been a 10, but they inexplicably took out all game modes other than single player and multiplayer free-for all. Two headed giant has been a staple of this series, and in my opinon, the most enjoyable game mode of the DotP franchise. It's what kept me coming back year after year. Not only did they take it out, there was almost no warning. I would never have bought this game if I knew there was no 2HG.
All that said, the amount of freedom this game gives you to craft your deck is awesome. Unlike Hearthstone, you aren't limited by your "class" in your access to cards. You can literally make whatever deck you wish with every card in the game at your disposal. The types of decks you will encounter in multiplayer will be endless.
Still, the microtransactions and left out features kill this game, and I cannot recommend it to anyone unless they are a die-hard MtG fan. Wizards of the Coast and Stainless really dropped the ball on this one.… Expand

There are better animations and better physics for player collisions, but other than that, the "additions" feel pretty much worthless. I don't care about the euroleague teams and the Lebron mode isn't even as good as the Jordan mode from 2k12.
Also, the gameplay has a number of annoying issues that I find rather frustrating:
1. Your players will occasionally throw a routine pass way off target for a turnover.
2. Even the slightest collisions will sometimes cause your player to lose control of the ball.
3. Stripping the ball on defense during a shot animation is WAY too easy now.
4. AI players will step out of bounds with the ball ALL THE TIME. In fact, sometimes, they will step out of bounds while you passing it to them, charging you with a turnover.
5. Blocking shots is WAY too easy. I realize it's "more fun," but it's just not realistic when Stephen Curry has 6 blocks and it's not even halftime. Also, shorter players will get their shots blocked way more often than in real life. I'm playing MyCareer on the Cavs, and Kyrie Irving, probably the best guard in the NBA at finishing around taller players, gets his shot blocked at least 3-5 times a game.
6. This isn't an issue with the game, but I'm really annoyed that they totally changed the controls AGAIN. Last year, you needed to hold L Trigger to pull off a layup or dunk, and now if you hold that and hit X, it's an alley-oop pass. So instead of throwing down easy dunks sometimes, my muscle memory causes me to throw a wild pass in a random direction (usually for a turnover). STOP MESSING WITH THE CONTROLS.
Until this year, I would say the NBA 2K series has improved dramatically each year, but I'm just not feeling like they gave it much effort this year. I'm sure they will fix some of these annoying problems, but overall, I'm a bit disappointed. They really didn't add much to the game at all from last year.
Honestly, 2k13 is a better, more polished game right now. I'd maybe wait until they address some of these issues before buying 2k14.… Expand

It's meant to be experienced online as a balanced and competitive multiplayer RTS, and this is the one thing that SCII: HotS does better than any other game in the genre. Period. The UI is great, and with the new additions of unranked play and the new leveling system, the game is more friendly to newcomers than ever before. Plus, it comes in a nice, polished package that is easy on your hardware even if you are playing on an outdated rig. And perhaps best of all, you won't have to worry about any crippling connection issues with Blizzard's Battle.net service (a la Diablo III and SimCity), and you can play to your heart's content as soon as you install the game. This is best RTS experience on the market and deserves a 10. However, if you're playing this game only for the single player component, knock the score down to a 8.5. The campaign is extremely entertaining, although it is a bit short, and is also the easiest campaign in a blizzard RTS to date. Some of the mutations available to Kerrigan's swarm as well as some of her own abilities are so powerful that you can basically sleepwalk through many of the missions even on the harder difficulty settings. Despite that, it's still a blast to play. There are several boss-type fights, which are extremely fun, and evolving your swarm in between missions is an enjoyable experience and allows you to customize the swarm to fit your play style. The story is a C+ effort at best typical of Blizzard's efforts as of late. Don't expect the same type of gripping narrative as Brood War, or you will be disappointed. Still, this is a more than worthy expansion to a great game, and deserves all the praise it gets. It's not perfect, and I'd give it a 9.5 if I could, but this is the game that sets the standard for the genre, and HotS definitely raises the bar.… Expand
