I have a PC that can comfortably run just about anything, including all the most recent triple-A titles with ease. Rebirth has serious problems keeping frame rates above 20, sometimes dipping well below. Incredibly (as if to add insult to injury), there are NO external camera views this is a baffling omission in a space sim, did the developers forget or just not bother?
Absolutely dreadful if the developers are prepared to patch this game it MAY survive this launch debacle, but as things stand there are many, many angry gamers flaming the Steam forum right now and with very good reason.
Egosoft need to up their game and put in some serious effort to rescue Rebirth from an early death.… Expand

This game should have been about stealth, tactics and planning. Instead it's a tiresome, linear, guided affair - a ghost-train ride. It's not even as if the graphics can compensate for the paucity and frustrations of the gameplay experience. GR:FS struggles on my i7 quad with 12GB RAM and a 1GB GTX460. It shouldn't - Crysis 2 with the hi-res texture packs runs faultlessly on max settings on the same rig.
Needlessly frustrating. Timed events suck. Graphics unoptimised for the best PC experience. Get Spec Ops: The Line instead and save yourself some disappointment.… Expand

RAGE is plagued with technical issues on my 'well-over-the required-specifications' rig, the texture work is appalling in places and overall this game - visually at least - emerges as a very poor example of what PC gaming has to offer in 2011.
How could it all be so wrong? It's baffling that a game that has been in development under the aegis of one of PC gaming's most respected developers could be quite so awful to look at, remain quite so unoptimised for modern PC rigs. Forums are full of disappointed gamers spewing nerd-rage - and quite rightly so, in my opinion. We had a right to expect far, far better from id than what RAGE has actually delivered.
The biggest disappointment of the year, without a doubt. Godspeed the patches.… Expand

E'lara is a master Elven huntress, highly skilled with a bow and ranged combat. She also appears to have been designed by a sexually frustrated fourteen year-old boy. Her companion, the man-mountain Caddoc, is a human tank of a warrior who's preferred fighting style is more 'axe-to-the-face' than considered strategy.
