- The graphics are really nice and the world itself looks authentic.
- Getting invaded by another player can make for a very intense hide & seek.
The driving mechanics are very poor & sluggish.
The voice acting seems very monotone and not well written.

I am not a big fan of Assassin Creed games but I do really enjoy the combat. I feel like the combat in SoM resembles that of Assassins Creed III. It has a parry and dodge system and it really works fluidly against multiple and hordes of enemies. It does have a story but I am only 6 hours into the game and I have found a lot of story through the descriptions of items and memories they contain. I also have not explored every area yet but from what I am seeing, the landscape and weather change is very nice.
Gameplay - The combat has a parry & dodge system with timed button presses you can counter-attack and perform finishers. As time goes on, you earn more types of finishing moves and special attacks. It is amazing to be surrounded by a horde of orcs and watch all of the amazing moves you can make and gruesome finishers as you parry and flip over them. Some of the enemies are stronger than others, especially when you get to the captains or tougher opponents and you must find other means of killing them.
There is a nemesis system in place that really makes this game unique. Each captain you face on the battlefield can and will remember you and the fight you had if they end up fleeing successfully or they are able to kill you. If you come across them at another time, they will be stronger with better gear and will say something about your previous fight, or what you managed to do to them.
Sound - The music is very fitting and at times dark and ominous. It can really immerse you in the world if you let it. The sounds of swords clashing and orcs grunting as you are in battle seem very authentic.
Graphics - It isn't visually stunning but it still looks impressive. There are times when the sun sets over the hills and rays of sunlight can be seen through trees and the like. Little moments like that are nice to look at but I wouldn't purchase this game for the graphics alone.
If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, this is a must buy. If you haven't seen the movies or read the books, I would hold off until it goes on sale or possibly rent it. I give this a 9 because of the combat and nemesis system that is in place, AND because I am a fan of the series.… Expand

I believe it's a cross between Halo, Borderlands, and CallLet me start by saying I absolutely love Destiny and am completely addicted to it! I believe it's a cross between Halo, Borderlands, and Call of Duty in some aspects but also believe it is it's own game and very unique. I have played this game every single day since release and find myself thinking about this game when I'm not playing or on the mobile app looking at stats or information. Here is a list and detailed explanation of the pros and cons.
The gameplay and combat are superb and the best I've ever seen, from the sounds of the weapons shooting and reloading to the bodies flying a la ragdall style! It is a very satisfying feeling getting a headshot on "The Fallen" (AI you're fighting against)! Every gun looks, feels, and shoots in it's own unique style. You can throw a grenade into a mob full of enemies and watch the bodies fly. Each body shot you do has a different effect on your enemies, shoot them in the leg, they slowly try to get away. PVP is a great example of gameplay and combat because most players will have different weapons and each player uses them differently. I personally recommend hand cannons because of the power with each shot and the feeling of 1 click headshots but someone else may prefer a fully automatic assault rifle using spray & pray. You really "feel" it when you shoot enemies or other players and it just feels right. This is where Destiny is awesome is the combat and weapon system.
The graphis aren't the best I've ever seen but still look impressive on the PS4 to say the least. I have stopped during gameplay just to awe at the landscape because it really looks great. You can see the sun go down and the rays shine through trees and you can forget you are in the middle of a fight with the Fallen. Other characters look really nice, even when you get close up, the textures do not lose their crisp look. This game is somewhat open world but it does still somehow feel kind of "closed" off. You can go almost anywhere but the landscape in the far off distance is not reachable, at least not yet.
Music - The music in Destiny is worthy to take note of. Many of the boss fights become even more epic because of the music that is being played. It really immerses you in the moment and I think it even hightens the situation that much more. The soundtrack is out and getting great reviews already.
I know this game has gotten a lot of negative reviews and many feel it was all hype and didn't deliver. I gave this a 9 and not a 10 because of how much I'm addicted to this game and it's been a long time since I've been this hooked on something. The story is not so great, the story of this game is definetley incomplete and many have been upset about that. I have also been pretty upset about the loot system considering I had successfully completed over 50+ strikes (at about 30+ minutes each) and always came in first place with my amount of kills/assists and etc. and never once won a legendary item. I continued to remain patient and finally started getting legendary and exotic items and now that I'm level 28, I have 4 exotics and full legendary gear/weapons. It will happen, you WILL get great gear but there is no rhyme or reason to it, it is all random no matter how well you perform.
The stories and loot system I beleive or the negative points of this game and the reason I dropped it to a 9 out of possible 10. But the gameplay, music, sounds, graphics, and the POSSIBILITY of getting awesome gear keeps me coming back. I hate this game so much I love it! They got it wrong on some major areas but got it right on some major areas. I play this game because I'm finally getting all this great gear and my character looks bad ass, I can play with my friends and we have a blast in strikes and PVP.
If you have played an MMO where you have grinded the same mobs and maps over and over and over and over to get good gear and you still enjoyed it, get this game!
If you do NOT like playing game that are a grind with the same levels and mobs over and over and over, do NOT get this game!… Expand

I was a bit weary of payingThis is the first Dark Souls game I've played in this series and I'm now convinced I need to go buy the first one. I was a bit weary of paying $65.00 for a game I new nothing about so I did a lot of research and what I found was nothing like I had ever seen before. I found that tons of reviews of the previous versions is that they were extremely difficult, challenging and rewarding. I also found that this game isn't for everyone and it's mostly for hardcore gamers. I had to take this challenge and I'm so glad I did. I don't think I've ever had a game that challenges you on the level like Dark Souls 2 does on a consistent basis. From the very beginning, you are tested in your ability to properly block, evade, or roll while finding the right time to attack your opponents. There are countless situations where you need to stop and plan ahead of how you will proceed. You may have to pull one enemy with an arrow while jumping down to evade another and kill two demons below you all at the same time. You also must fight bosses that are extremely tough and it may take quite a few deaths to learn their patterns and figure out how to beat them.
For all of the challenges you will face, this game is also incredibly rewarding! There are tons of gear, armor, and weapons for loot and upgrade. Do you risk a death to obtain an amazing ring? Or do you wait until your stronger and come back later? The beautiful thing is that it's all up to you! You have full customization options of your character and can choose from many different classes and play styles. I'm maybe halfway through and have found around 60 different weapons including: spears, swords, hammers, and bows/crossbows and around 10 different armor sets.
As you make your way through certain areas, the fact that every single creature can literally kill you, this game has a way of instilling fear into you and I find that amazing! I find myself entering new areas with a certain hesitation and with my shield raised in case of an ambush, all the while my hands are literally trembling.
I highly recommend Dark Souls 2 to any player who loves RPGs but wants to take it to the next level! You will experience fear, anger, excitement, despair, and then you will be rewarded, or die.… Expand

YouLet me start by saying I've never really been a huge fan of the Assassin's Creed series mainly because the repetition I have experienced. You always know what to expect from an Assassin's Creed game. You will hide, vanish, assassinate, wash, rinse, repeat. I purchased this game because there were limited options of games I wanted for the Playstation 4. With that said, I've really enjoyed this game. It really taps into the power of the Playstation 4 and shows it well. The graphics are extremely impressive! Whether it be in a settlement or a deserted island, it appears to be very realistic in many different ways. The way the water moves, storms that you can get caught in, weather changes, it's all very surreal to watch. The combat system is basically the same as the previous version, it works very well. I highly recommend this to any Assassin's Creed fan or if you're looking to play an open world game that shows off the power of the PS4.… Expand

First off, this is by farI have to be fair and review this game while including all of the crashes and error messages that I've encountered. First off, this is by far the best Battlefield installment yet. The graphics are top notch and really show off just a smidge of what the Playstation 4 is capable of. The environments are fully destructible and some buildings will crumble completely do the ground. It's breathtaking to watch! On some maps, weather can completely change the tide of battle. Storms can blow through with strong winds and rain and can make it sometimes change your visibility. The sounds are very authentic, especially if you change to "wartapes" in the sound options. The controls are top notch and the fun factor is through the roof. With all this being said, the bugs are absolutely horrible! My game crashes about 1 out of every 4 games I play. The crashes are mostly with the Conquest mode. It makes it very frustrating and although I've always been a huge Battlefield fan, I've almost stopped playing entirely on quite a few occasions. The hope is still here that they will fix these issues soon. This is a great game to buy but I would wait a few months until they've fixed all of the issues.… Expand

It is an open world with tons of quests, events, pvp, and raids. You can "farm" monsters for weapon and weapon mod drops and do quests to earn items. This is the first MMOFPS of it's kind and it's very unique in a few ways. The leveling system and talents you can earn is quite different from your traditional MMO because it an "EGO" number representing your power rather than level 1, 2, 3 etc. There are many different kinds of weapons you can use like: Sniper Rifles, Assault Rifles, Shotguns, Pistols, Grenade Launchers, etc. You can customize your character to be very unique and different from other characters with all of the different options you have. Just last night, I was on a 4-Wheeler (You earn this in a quest soon after beginning the game) with about 10 other players, we were driving through rolling hills, mountains, and mud to reach a raid point where you fought monsters for about 30 minutes. In PVP, I watched from a tower with my handy sniper rifle as I saw about 30 players fighting in the creek below me. Bullets were flying and bodies were dropping, I just sat back and picked off stragglers with my rifle and racked up quite a few kills in the match. I highly recommend this game if you like playing MMO's, FPS, or even just RPG's. It's definately well worth the money and what I find is especially great is that there is no monthly payment! Go get it!… Expand
