Average User Score: 7.0Aug 3, 2013Hitman: Absolution feels like a three step forward in the Hitman series but at the same time a step back.
Hitman: Absolution is the 5th in the Hitman series of games where you can still kill your targets in many ways. It is still a stealth game like the old Hitman games but has a Splinter Cell Conviction feel to it with a new controls layout and two new mechanics called instinct and point shooting.
Point shooting which allows you to slow down time and tag multiple enemies kills them. This game is more story based then old Hitman with great voice acting and a dark sense of humour. The game has a Quentin Tarantino feel to it.
A new online mode in Hitman called contracts where the player can playthrough the small level and complete a contract, by tagging their targets and the way in which the targets is killed, and the disguise the players must use when killing a target.
You get more money the fast you kill your target, money which can be used to buy upgrades and more. When a contract is created by a player, they can put it online and have other players attempt to complete it and rank on online leaderboards based on how good they are. It really fun and challenging but I wish you could make your own levels.
The game does have some problems. The first problem is new take on the disguise system. In the old Hitman games if you had a disguise by killing someone or finding one, you could walk right pass an enemy. Now you have to use instinct where you can see through walls and see where enemy would walk too. You can turn off instinct but you can’t change the disguise system back to the old one
The second problem is the new horrible checkpoint system which respawns enemies and are few and far between each other. This is my biggest problem I have with the game and I wish I.O interactive would fix with a patch as the old Hitman games allowed you to save when and where you wanted to.
Because it’s a story based game it is a bit more linear where you don’t even need to kill anyone just walk to the end. There are some big open levels but not a lot.
The graphics are amazing, you can have 100 npcs on screen at once and it looks great.
Hitman: Absolution is a great but some of the decisions IO interactive made to the game not as open and the opposites that long-time fan like myself and others wanted. That being said the game is still super fun and worth it. It give is an 8.5 out of 10.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.6Nov 13, 2012A great game, i have played Max Payne 1 and 2 and loved them, but they did have some problems. Max payne 3 is a good game. Although it does some problem like instant killing you in single player, freezing and bad spawning in multiplayer. I forgive it because of its great story(the cut seens are um-skippable), great characters, great mechanics, soundtrack and voice acting. The graphics beautiful, so much detail, i had it max out in dx11 at 60 fps and it looks Amazing. Great game by Rockstar.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.9Nov 12, 2012I am here to tell the truth about halo 4 and that it is not a 9 or a 10, BUT it is not a 4 or a 5. It is a 7.5 and NOT GOTY. It is good game but a disappointment.for all the hype and all the reviews saying its the best game ever, most of it is lies but it is a improvement on Halo 3 and Reach. There is no middle ground in the war of fanboys vs haters I could not find a honest review about (from Machinima with it 10/10 to Quarter to Three with it 2/10) so here's my honest about the game. It is a good game don't get me wrong but it a short 4 to 5 hours campaign with a interesting story but its kinda boring and cliche at times and is full of repetitive tasks like push these three buttons over and over again. 343 had added some emotions to master chief to give him more of a human role. The most disappointing part of the game is that there is only three new enemys,a dog robot,a new alien cyborg, and a UAV thing. I would like to have seen more types of enemy but nope. The multiplayer is fun, better the Reach and halo 3. it has killstreaks, Perks and Loadouts but that's where the similarities to Call of duty stop so the halo fanboy and Call of duty fanboys can stop fight. the has co op in campaign and a new mode which replaces firefight (why do that?) called spartan ops (OK one more Call of duty similarity), The graphics are great, amazing for a xbox. so in all it a good game which i recommend for a fun, great multiplayer and ok story but it is overhyped. i like the halo series i think the young fanbase may annoy you but thank you 343 for the mute all button.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.2Oct 6, 2012i like Dark Souls but it has some big problems. For a start it is not a good pc port, I had to use mods to get it to 1080p at 60fps and sometimes games for windows live would crash and I would get kick me off of my game and without live you can't play with your characters. The online of the game is that you can join a random world and help or kill someone and they can join your two, which is a nice touch but most of the time when someone join you it really lags and you can do a thing when one invades your world at lvl 60 and your lvl 12. it is a hard game and the control really bad you need a controller to play it. some of the sub boss are harder then real boss but it is a good challenge and you might like. The graphics beautiful with the mod for 1080p. A good game but with the problems it has I am going give it a 6.9 but I recommend to someone who like a good rpg.… Expand
Average User Score: 7.4Jun 6, 2012Battlefield 3 is a great game, with its 64 player match and massive map. You can have hours of fun on multiplayer but it does have some problem. There are 4-6 guns with no recoil and it gets really annoying when you die first but you shot first. The game has these unlock for vehicles and guns which are horrible because if someone has more unlock then you, you will always die. The knife has it good points (great animation kills) and bad points (to long animation kills) the graphics (I max it out in dx11 at 60 fps), environments are best you will see in a game. the sound effects are great to .The singleplayer I will give a 6.5/10 its a good action story but the characters are not that good and are boring with no back story to them, I miss the Bad Company 2 characters and the humour that game had. This is a serious game, there are some of the plot holes is the game, why is Solomon detonating nukes? He is just one of those old James bond bad guys that want to blow up the world with him on it. But in the end it is a great game. Good game Dice.… Expand
