It runs smoothly and looks just as good as you'd expect it to, unlike so many other games.
The actual gameplay hasn't changed at all, it's the same "collect this" or "kill him" preceded by running or driving halfway across the entire planet and into some base where people are waiting to kill you. Maybe you'll find a shiny new gun on the way.
Online play has been improved massively by Gearbox choosing to use Steam matchmaking instead of the gamespy system used in Borderlands 1. (Main reason my review is 7 rather than a 6)
The lower scored reviews are not entirely wrong, however the game is best played with friends or in co-op - but if you want more Borderlands (I have 30 hours in total from 1 playthrough with some sidequests done) then you will like the sequel.… Expand

The only thing about the satisfyingly gory gameplay is that it can be a bit repetetive when you think of it as "do mission - cutscene - run there - cutscene - end mission - cutscene - run somewhere else - repeat". Of course, like every other PC game this year, from a technical point of view, it's terrible. The game has broken mouse support, I played through it with a PS3 controller. I found, although i amlucky enough to be able to play the game, that after every 30 mins or so my frame rate had slowly dropped to such an unplayable level I would have to quit the game and restart whatever mission i was playing - the game has an obvious memory leak.
Aside from the now common problems that PC users face with cheap, rushed, console ports, (even though this game was delayed for 2 months or so) if you can see past these problems, the game itself is quite good.… Expand

The Slice, Push, Pull mechanic gives you some interesting gameplay but perhaps there is more puzzle potential than the developers realised. Again, the radio constantly giving you hints which kills what little difficulty the game has anyway, got on my nerves a lot.
It passed 2 hours of my time anyway and quite enjoyed it, shame there is no replay value to it other than cutting stuff up.… Expand

The lack of graphics options didn't really bother me so much, as it's just a casual puzzle game, but the choice should still be there. There is not very much i can flaw, apart from the puzzles being too easy, some repetetiveness (both in the puzzles and especially the voiceover), and most annoyingly, you are given HINTS constantly by the voiceover when you don't need them.
Also, i don't know if i missed it, but the game never really explains what IKE is, either.… Expand

Giving account that the game is cheap, I still feel it could be a little more polished, especially considering it's the second in the series. The aiming mechanics are not brilliant, there are a few minor bugs and annoyances, one being that the enemies have godlike aim and can hit you from the other side of the map, and also that you cannot jump whilst walking down a slope.
The game allows you to bind the few keys necessary to play as you wish, and lets you choose between preset graphics settings; however I found there is very little difference between the lowest and the highest.
There are no luxuries like in game chat online, which is a bit of a failure considering this game is best played with friends. Adding the character customisation and various weapon unlocks, i was scared when the thought came to my head that I was playing what looked like a strange attempt to combine COD and TF2 into one experience.
Overall It's a good concept, although comes across a little unfinished. But get what you paid for.… Expand
