Sadly, I must say DoW 3 is a Huge miss here (and I worry my 4/10 rating is too much generous?).
First off, the gameplay simply isn't there.
The mix they tried to do between the two previous DoW doesnt work; it just isn't balanced and the epicness isn't there. The worst is the small maps which are heavily restricted (corridors) and nullify all aspect of strategy which you want in a RTS.
While there are positive like the graphics, audio, voice acting and the overall 40k universe;
The worst is the content. If you dont care about multiplayer, the campaign is short and dull and again, very restricted (Feels like a never ending tutorial with never any freedom to play the mission like you want).
Only 3 races and no game mode... (I mean the potential was there, they could have made another Last Stand mode with the heroes, which was a BLAST in DoW 2!)
You will basically pay the highest AAA price, play the 10h-ish campaign, forget its dull story and never open the game again.… Expand

As much as I would love to like the game, I get massively bored after 1 hour of gametime. Only 4 maps and 2 interesting game modes, in my opinion. For any additionnal content, expect to have to pay the price (It's EA afterall). Plus on PC you will only encounter an already impressive number of hackers and 12yo spamming the chat. Since there is only a small multiplayer and no single player; I expect it to become of huge cash grab of season pass and micro transactions for EA. Avoid yourself the ridiculous price of this less-than-average experience.… Expand
Average User Score: 3.1Nov 16, 2014Returning to the AC series after AC: Brotherhood and I can say I was better off..
The story is still as far away from the great historicalReturning to the AC series after AC: Brotherhood and I can say I was better off..
The story is still as far away from the great historical aspect it could have; and still about alien-ish / religious-ish / evil corporation / magical artifacts crap.
The new "free running system" is not helping anything. You will still rage and have the ENORMOUS frustration of not going where you want to; which will result in a lot of death in failed escape / runaways.
The gameplay itself have not changed at all since the first ACs (Plus it's missing the cool naval fights from the previous opus..).
Plenty of the main missions have not worked well for me; even some of the tutorials missions are off timing; resulting in many failures. (Most likely since Ubi are just copying their Gameplay and are not innovating anything with the series so only juniors work on this; resulting in bad gameplay / scripting / level design).
You will also find the obvious and oh plenty bugs and glitches (falling through the map, camera glitches, etc...). and the version is COMPLETELY BROKEN ON PC!!
I am having tremendous FPS problems whatever the settings I put with dual GTX 690 (or solo disabling SLI), i7-3930, 32gb DDR3...
And trust me; it is not an issue with drivers or whatever..
I absolutely loved the first 2 ACs; but trying my luck back: I can say this series is dead for me forever.
If you were on edge for this one: my two cents is dont buy it.… Expand

The game suffers from what smells like an inexperienced team/studio.
It is riddled with bugs and glitches; the environment suffers from NUMEROUS model & textures bugs and will see improper UVs scaling more than you'd wish.
The AI is simply not immersive and quite "basic" (not to say down right dumb). AI will simply forget you ever existed as you turn a corner and/or reach an area he cannot access. There is only one faction so you will see guards coexist with "monsters" that should exterminate them just as much they do to you. Very, very often patrols will bump in one another as soon as you disturb one; often resulting in them being stuck and breaking the level.
There is to say; no "fighting" gameplay/chances (ala Thief from Eidos) and dying is extremely painful as savepoints are scarse (you can lose easily up to 20-30min of progression later on).
The Gameplay per-se and story are not bad; but nothing stand out as new / extraordinary and the voice acting is not that great.
The climbing system feels restricted compared to Assassin's Creed or Shadow of Mordor; and trying to ledge grab downward can be a real pain in the a** which will kill you / alert the enemies A LOT.
If you like the genre; try out Thief (Eidos Montreal).… Expand

But this is a game that would be average in the 1990's.. The AI is so simple and dumb; even if you are 3 miles away sniping, if you are not hidden in dense vegetation, they can see you and have a perfect accuracy with machine gun while you try to snipe them! You can't take 3 steps without getting a collision bug and that is not exaggerating.. You will either walk through big rocks or will get stuck on a perfectly flat floor, plus you can't "climb" stairs crouched.. You can spot enemies on your radar but even after 6 hours of gameplay, you wont know how it works cause it sometimes automatically reveal them a mile away and sometime having the NPC 2 meters in front of you in plain sight wont still show him.. You will have more fun playing CoD or Crysis and adapting your play style then playing this. Avoid the frustration, bugs and the game!… Expand

I knew nothing of the Witcher before I friend told me it was great while speaking about Oblivion (Elders scroll). So I watched some preview I tried it out.. But really there's nothing special about it.. Even worse, the average everybody wont be able to run it on PC, I got a 8k $ comp brought 3 years ago, so still pretty good, I i'm still getting lag on low graphics.. Plus there are some ridiculous part in the game that'll just make you rage, like inbeatable bosses or run away in straight line from a dragon that'll kill you 50 times.. wtf ? Then I must say that I really regret my money wasted.. I first tried the demo (I strongly suggest to all of you out there who ain't sure about this game, to do so) but, for me, it didn't help my choice. At first, it did not made me love it more, nor less. But let me tell you..
*FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO TRIED THE DEMO AND STILL AIN'T SURE, DON'T BUY THIS GAME !*
It's really, really repetitive and boring.. On top of all, it's really bugged, some scripting events are actually not working at all or working at the wrong time ! Plus, late in the campaign, you get to have so much stuff in your dungeons that the game don't stop lagging (And thrust me, it's not because of my computer, I have a computer made to do 3D, worth 10k $)
Sure you'll find the parody talking there and there fun, but the game is JUST about that.. Each and single phrase is stolen from a movie or an other game for somewhere, like Diablo, Lotr, warhammer, Dante's inferno, etc.. At some point one of the character actually says : "Okay we need to stop that or we will get sued." The game would have been okay for a 20-30$ game, but it's not worth it's current price.. Sure, there is 17 mission, but it's all the same.. Just play the demo 10 times and you'll have played the full game.. As everybody else is saying, a lot of points in the game mechanics seems incomplete, some stuff do'nt work at all and lack interactive stuff.. The game even have a fast-forward mode, like if they knew it could be boring to play..
So, for all amateur of evil-cool-funny-stuff, you can pass this one.… Expand
