The story is simple and straight forward, you play as bounty hunter Samus Aran, basically the story is that you have taken the last Metroid alive and gave it to scientists for research but while the scientists were researching it, they were attacked and the Metroid was captured, now its your duty to go get it back.
The graphics are very detailed for its time, this was truly the best the SNES could do, with beautiful foregrounds and backgrounds.
Now the game play is perfect, the backtracking, the exploration, it's all there and its better than you could hope for.It controls flawlessly and Samus can shoot in all directions making it much easier to deal with enemies.Samus will also find a vast array of power-ups at her disposal. The map is huge it truly is an expansive adventure.
The game isn't too hard it depends on your skill but an average player will expect to die and that's fine, trust me you will probably die at least once.
The music in the game is superb, it does it's job perfectly in creating brilliant atmosphere weather you are exploring the deep underwater swamps or the lava filled depths of Norfair, the music is always there and its always excellent. Kenji Yamamoto really outdone himself with this soundtrack.
This game deserves to be bought, its worth trust me the game will take about 10 hours to complete but there are plenty of nooks and cranny's to find! The game has high replay value also and not only that but it is a speed runner's delight with multiple paths to finish the game. Well this concludes my short review of Super Metroid it is well worth a buy, it is an excellent gaming experience.… Expand
