Average User Score: 2.3Nov 5, 2013This game is not nearly as bad as most people think it is. The core gameplay is solid and performs very well on PC. This might be due to the rubbish graphics, but there are some very nice set pieces throughout the game that actually impressed me. I like the weapon animations, sound effects, and fan service. The voice acting is great and the likeliness of each of the villains are great.
The PC controls are where the real problems can be found. Mouse acceleration is permanently switched on, so I sometimes struggle to turn around without doing a complete 360 spin. This coupled with the lack of graphics options upset me.
Still, the game has it's moments of greatness and it's nice to re-visit some of the locales from the classic films as well as the new films. It's good, but held back by its console roots.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.4Oct 21, 2013Quite possibly the best horror game I've ever played. I was genuinely terrified throughout most of this game. My only real criticism is the ending which was far too abrupt. The rest of the game was extremely atmospheric and made to very high standards.
I really enjoyed the use of the video camera which can record certain events and help you to see in the dark. In fact, the night vision on the camera is the most realistic I've ever seen in a video game.
There were several jump scares but the real scares came during the moments when the unpredictable AI was hunting me. The sound design is another great aspect of this game. It made the scary parts even more scary and helped alleviate some of the cheesy-ness of the jump scares.
All in all, a fantastic game with a great flare for the survival horror genre. Amnesia is in trouble.… Expand
Average User Score: 8.5Oct 20, 2013I'm was really surprised by this game. I'm not a fan of 8-bit graphics or the concept of sitting behind a desk and checking people's papers, but this game made it fun and interesting! There's also a decent amount of humour to keep things lively!
Whatever doubts you may have about this game, set them aside. There's a deep and meaningful story that takes time to show itself, but it's worth the journey, and all the hard work :P… Expand
Average User Score: 8.7Oct 20, 2013This is a puzzle game unlike any other. The clay animations are really well done and the whole concept of creating clones to solve puzzles, is a really neat idea. Add in the ability to swap between these clones and things become very interesting.
You'll get about 4-5 hours out of this game depending on how good you are with the puzzles. They are varied and challenging in the later stages as you become more comfortable with the gameplay.
The atmosphere is really moody, with a full spectrum of white light to pitch darkness. They really do a good job to make you feel like you're in space and completely isolated.
The Swapper is a genre defining leap for puzzle platformers. The developers have shown originality and passion, which are the first two things I look for in any game.… Expand
Average User Score: 4.6Nov 13, 2012Some seriously delusional people giving user reviews here. I personally really enjoy Black Ops 2. The campaign isn't the strongest, but it's far from the weakest in the COD series. The Zombies and multiplayer more than justify the retail price. You'll be playing this for months, I know I will.… Expand
