You control a character ,Wei Shen, that is likable as your cop delves deeper into the local Hong Kong Triads and the story moves along nicely. Graphics are nice enough with the enhanced texture pack for the P.C. G.T.A series would be a comparison for this game in style. The negatives in this game is hand to hand combat is kind of limited and does not lend well to keyboard/mouse but to be frank who needs to fight when you can get into a car and drive over those thugs in the street anyhow? The other draw back is gun combat is a bit clunky as well. There were a few bugs from time to time such as not buying food from a vendor despite pressing to do so but they were pretty minor and in some cases amusing and did not stop the missions from happening.
Happily the positives abound and the game is fun, there are various sub missions to do in addition to the main story line and it is a focused entertaining plot. For the O.C.D there are hidden statues and lock boxes to be found, as well as clothing. An experience system for Triad and Cop help give you new combat abilities but the plot is fairly linear but to be frank it is entertaining getting to it. Fast cars, street racing, back alley fist fights, cop missions and criminal heist missions and a sense of humour make this game an entertaining Hong Kong action theater. There's even Karaoke to do!… Expand

A summary of the plot is a giant meteor strikes the Earth and you are a chosen person who goes into suspended animation. Naturally when you wake up everyone else is dead and it is the post-apocalyptic future. The best summary of this game is it's like a poor man's Fallout except a First Person Shooter hijacked it and took it's garb. It is nowhere half as good or as fun. Your weapons suck, they lack a killer punch, the car driving sucks and car battles are just tedious. The first person action is not very engaging and it becomes annoying very fast if you can't even jump on top of a box and invisible walls block you, sometimes in really stupid places for example you could slide down a slope early on then crawl back up it but despite being big and solid enough to hold you, the curse of the invisible force wall strikes, The graphic engine is not going to win any prizes any time soon. I am glad I picked this up in a sale and not full price. It frankly is just boring. Can I endorse this as a purchase to you? nope sorry, not even in the sales bucket. There are other titles out there in the sales bucket that are a lot more fun to play.… Expand

Okay if you like games of skill and being able to not die to sheer randomness then avoid this game. It starts off fun enough, the graphics are functional enough and easy to see what is going on, the sound is decent enough too. A brief summary of the game's plot is you're a ship from the Federation outrunning the evil Rebels and you must reach a set stage and confront and kill the Rebel's flagship. It has a nice sci-fi space opera feel to it but where it goes wrong, very wrong is that more or less your chance of success or failure is based on pure luck and even then when you get the Rebel's ship on it's last legs it's clear the programmers are messing with you as it suddenly fires off a load of lasers. The only way to win is pretty much get a right combination of weapons and ship upgrades that are very much luck dependent, not on your skill as a player. This sours the overall experience and yes so what if they claim it to be rogue like but really if all you want to do is die to the end boss again and again and the other stages seems pretty much repetitive after a while. At first I thought the game was fun but it became very clear it's just designed to kill you off and then becomes just repetitive. Nice ideas, sloppy end game, once beaten no real inclination to go back and play it again. Some hope for the games redemption is with mods but as the games stands on it's own merits, it is far too random to be fun.… Expand
