Average User Score: 6.0Mar 23, 2014This is a game, you can play it and have fun; however, your fun will run out faster than you would think.
This game provides a solid combat experience and very fluid movement and gun-play but if you're like me and enjoy being creative in combat and finding extra uses for in-game content then you will be disappointed.
This game could have easily went with Valve and adopted the ability for user-made content to be readily available but they didn't. They are likely instead going to charge you for all the maps they make despite there being thousands of free maps for every source engine game on the Steam workshop or FPSbananana.com.
Even the campaign offers you no break from the repetition of this game as it's simply a multiplayer match with a bit of scenic action.
To conclude, I'm quite sure you'll enjoy this game but you will grow bored of it and your playtime will not go far beyond 500 hours if you can even make it there.… Expand
Average User Score: 5.9Dec 22, 2013I'm not even going to mention the campaign as I believe it to be a total waste of Hard Drive space.
So a simple pros and cons list of BF4's multiplayer.
- Rich combat system plenty of unlocks and customization abilities
- Nice looking and very detailed maps
- Squad VOIP
- Better spotting system than BF3
- Better squad perk system
- Wall peeking and performance is actually better than BF3 for me at least using nvidia 670 fx 8350 )
- Balanced weapons people will debate this )
- No one really communicates with each other
- Requires Battlelog
- Requires Origin
- Crashes somewhat frequently (2 out of 10 games for me)
- Very unbalanced vehicles
- Tiny aim dot for jets
- Many invisible wall collisions
- Hit detection that was worse than BF3s but occurs less often
- Objects have bad collisions sometimes invisible walls intercept your shot trajectory )
- Enemy squadmates spawn on allies while you are killing them meaning they can easily kill you as you will have spent most of your clip on the first guy.
Conclusion: For most of you this will put it simply enough. I got Premium for BF3 and didn't feel like a cent was wasted but I will not be getting Premium for BF4 at all.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.3Aug 19, 2013Micro-transactions are useless but the game experience was pretty solid and the co-op was a blast. I got this from the bundle but I'd have bought it for ~$40.00 had I known how good it was going to be.
Soundtrack was pretty good but I wish they had more songs. I really liked the side missions as they were pretty much just extended bits of the campaign that furthered character development.
I give this 9 out of 10 beans.… Expand
Average User Score: 6.9Nov 6, 2012You guys can rate this game as low as you want but you and your friends are going to be playing the **** out of it for a good year or two.
I've enjoyed all the other Halo games as well as a many others of the sci-fi genre and I do say that this game has done the genre great justice. Any sign of "sequelitis" is not portrayed nor even hinted.
I just beat the campaign and was left with an immense feeling of satisfaction (time to buy new pants) and wanting more at the same time. The ending is a perfect finalizing ending this could be the last Halo you played and you'd still feel the ending was good even though it's actually just an epilogue for the next game.
The emotional side is amazing. Lots of feeling shown from Cortana, Master Chief and Lasky. I've played lots of games and on a lot of platforms in my life since 1995. But I've never played such an emotionally grabbing campaign with such an immense story to tell.
I would not rate this game any less than 8 even if you paid me $2000.00 and I'm serious you can even put the cash in my hand and I'll throw it at you. When I signed into Xbox live all my friends were playing Halo 4. The game is good guys and 343i deserves all the praise you can give them.
I'm having a very hard time keeping this brief when there are so many pros and so little cons to the game but I must say; the bar has been set.… Expand
