The Game does exactly what it should: It has amazingly tight controls, A+ level design, and great pixel art. It's also one of the fairest designed platformers I've played. If you get hit it's your own fault 99% of the time, not the clunky controls or unfair traps. A perfectly designed, but super hard, puzzle/action/platforming game. Just be prepared to die. The controls are solid and really fun with responsive fighting and platforming combosOnly play this game if you absolutely hate yourself. The controls are solid and really fun with responsive fighting and platforming combos between the double jumps and wall climbing. That is the only good things I have to say about it though. The solid base controls are ruined by absolutely horrid level mechanics.
The second half of level 2 is covered almost entirely with ice. What's wrong with that you say? Well this is not your normal ice. This ice is some kind of super material developed by NASA, like windshields that water just slides off of and can't stick to; except you're the water. You slide around like a speed boat the second you hit the stuff shooting off at the speed of light even if you have no momentum either way when you land. And then when you jump off of the ice your character INSTANTLY loses all momentum and goes straight up. Whoever programmed the ice physics for this game should be shot. Then whoever decided it would be a good idea to have an entire level of the dreadful stuff should be shot twice.
The level design does not get better from there sadly. Stay away unless you hate yourself and you love horrid controls.… Expand

The game is fun to go through single-player, but it really shines when you can get one or two friends to play through it with you. Solving the puzzles together while making sure all of you can get through while fighting off bats and skeletons is great fun. The platforming is very solid and while the puzzles are not terrible complicated, getting all the characters through in 3 player can be harder than you think. Graphically the game is gorgeous, the backgrounds and character are incredibly well animated, colorful, and just fun to look at. The one area of the game that I feel could use a little improvement is the combat. The way the enemies spawned could get a bit tiresome at times. There were often only 1 or 2 spawn points in an area but you would have to fight a dozen or more skeletons. This would drag out the fights painfully with you waiting right by the spawn point to kill the same skeleton 5 or 6 times over the course of several minutes instead of just fighting them all at once and moving on. You would kill it for the 5th time and turn around to move to the next puzzle and *whoosh* another skeleton spawns behind you. Still a very fun, solid, and thoroughly enjoyable platform puzzle game. Recommended for anyone that enjoys a good platforming game. Play with friends for the full experience.… Expand

What I got was one of the most fun, engrossing, and thoroughly amazing games of all time. The gameplay is simple, clean, and intuitive. I never felt like I was fighting the controls. My character reacted exactly as I felt like he should and if I messed up it was entirely my fault. The soundtrack is also right up there with the best the gaming industry has to offer. This is one of the few game soundtracks I would actually buy; right there alongside Chrono Trigger and Castlevania: SOTN. The art and graphics fit the game perfectly and act alongside the music to immerse you in the world. The way the world builds itself around you as you walk is very neat and doesn't get old. But where the game really shines is the narrative and how it unfolds throughout the game. The only voice in the game (besides a scene at the end) is the narrator and you learn everything about the game world and how to play the game through him. At the beginning you knowing basically nothing, and it builds from there to become one of the most beautiful, heart-wrenching narratives I have ever seen in a video game. This is a must buy for gamers of all skill levels and one of the best games of all time.… Expand
