Anyway Grid 2 is a solid, well presented arcade racer. Think along the lines of the PGR games but better. handling feels tight & responsive and the graphics are beyond reproach. The game is separated into the usual arcade racing fare, there's the straight up races, drift events, hot lap style events and a quite amusing checkpoint style one too. as well as those, there are some special events thrown in for good measure. The best of these being an overtake event where you have a set amount of laps to overtake as many cars as you can. These overtakes can be linked together to attain a combo, while crashing or taking too long to overtake your next opponent will reduce your combo score.
Unlike many games the multiplayer was not an afterthought, infact Codemasters has made it into it's own game in it's own right. There are challenges to complete, cars to unlock & upgrade and all this is held together by Codemasters excellent RaceNet service.
If you're expecting the next Gran Turismo i guess you will be disappointed, but take it or leave it, Grid 2 is easily one of the most fun and accomplished arcade racing games of this generation and should have a place in any racing fans Steam library.… Expand
