Weak premise, but okay, we'll go with it.
The controls are a little neurotic in that you can switch between Ralph and Felix at any time. It's a simple 2D platformer that feels like it was really rushed in order to be released with the movie. There's absolutely no polish to the game.
That said, it some ways it's okay for kids. Even young kids. The "baddies" are super easy to kill and you don't really need to worry about them that much. I played thru 1 or 2 levels before becoming completely bored.
Don't waste your money on it. (I rented it for 1 from from one of those Red Box stations for $2.)… Expand

ItHaving owned Rayman Raving Rabbids 1, 2, and TV Party, I was kind of excited for another chapter in the series, but color me disappointed. It mostly consists of you driving a shopping cart with two Rabbids in the cart careening out of control down aisles and offices and hospitals picking up various junk and terrorizing the denizens of some fictional neighborhood. Is the game fun? Yeah, kinda. But it gets pretty repetitive quickly. You do pick up new abilities and skills over time, so it isn't completely boring. The game also has a lot of polish from a production stand-point, but overall it isn't a lot of fun to own. Maybe rent it from gamefly or borrow it from a friend.… Expand

General reviews on Metacritic seemed to indicate that it was a good buy, too. Well, color me disappointed. I spent the entire time stumbling around the Homestar "universe" saying to myself "What am I supposed to be doing?" -- Granted, this game *is* sort of built in the style of the old Sierra games where you get things in your inventory and use basic reasoning to figure out what you're supposed to do. But I felt like those games always had a decent storyline/plot guiding you along. This game does not. Sure, you can crank up the Hints to "High", but even then, figuring things out was very trial-and-error and quite arduous. Not really what a game is supposed to be: Fun. Just to get thru this game, I had to reference a walk-thru many times. And each time, I said "Oh, that's what they want me to do? Wow, that's dumb." -- Now, that I've rained on this game completely, I have to say that it does have some redeeming value. It's mildly amusing to "live" in the Homestar universe and interact with the characters, but in the end, it's really not worth it. My recommendation: Skip this game.… Expand

Wow, this game has me smilingRecently, Nintendo released a handful of free WiiWare demos of various games, so I gave a few of them a try. Wow, this game has me smiling from ear-to-ear the entire time. It's one of those puzzle games that takes good advantage of the WiiMote's motion sensing ability. In the game, you act as a puddle/pool of water that must navigate perils such as sand and hot lava and goop "fire" slugs. But as you progress thru the levels you obtain special abilities that allow you to pool yourself, or turn into a brick of ice to get thru tricky areas. The physics of the game is really fun, if only slightly un-realistic. But it's a game, not a physics simulation, right? Anyway, it costs 1200 wii credits and is a veritable bargain considering how fun it is.… Expand
